Logged onto Live last night and saw some surprise release thing from Irrational Games....my wife mentions that she is curious, so we click the video.  we are greated with a brief glimpse of an under water world, and we are both glued to the screen, mouthes open in total shock and awe. watching the whole video nudging each other and whispering,

"can it be?",

"no, no, no way, it can't",

"but what if it is?"

"it sure looks like it"

"But we would have heard SOMETHNG"

"I know, but it has to be"

Oh, the LAN was all that I ever wanted and more!

The decision to go was made hastilly but was totally worth it.  We started Thursday at 6am Leaving Harrisburg for the 11hr drive (not realizing that there was a 1hr difference between harrisburg PA and Chi-Town. but no problem....how bad could Rush hour traffic be.....famous last words. half way into the city and we were doing well, making ok time......then out the other side.....and we're stopped.

I felt I should post a pre-LAN Blog.  I have plenty of preparations to do tonight and tomorrow (taking a half day from work tomorrow). In fact the only preparations I have done so far are to make sure the GPS on my phone still works and set up a house/cat sitter. (I’m a “last minute” kind of person)    So tonight, I guess I should look into picking up the beer and needed anti-hangover supplies. Look into updating a few games, pack up some clothes, clean out the car get a USB drive and get some cash (ug, I HATE carrying cash).
