I know the “boy and his mother” sayings but my mom was an absolute saint, Church every Sunday, baking cookies on Monday, brownies on Thursday and always having a large full breakfast for my sister and I every morning before school. She’d get up early baking muffins, or pancakes. If she was running late for delivering meals to the homebound elderly, she at least made us waffles with syrup. Our lunches always had a sandwich, milk, chips, a pickle, fruit, and cookies, brownies, chocolate, or gummy bears.

In the 4 days we had off work this weekend, we played WoW, hosted a dinner party, played more WoW, watched Shutter Island, then Played more WoW. In those 4 days I realized something, when you can’t get gold from the auction house (because trial games can’t auction stuff) you do anything for some gold. I have even found myself taking quests that no sane person would accept. While capped at lvl 20 (the trial level cap really sucks), off I went to slay 12 lvl 24 murlocks and kill their lvl 27 boss…in I charged, guns blazing, pet wolf foaming with anticipation….and I died…. a lot.

Work sucks, spinning my wheels, and trying to figure out what I really want to do when I grow up.....I know, I'm 28, I am (in a way) grown up.  and yet, here I sit looking for a change of carreer. I would say that I hate being an accountant, but I'm not even an accountant, more of a legal consultant and inter-departmental liason than anything.  despite that sounding like a really dull job, I assure you, it is 10x more dull than that.   I send out applications almost every day now, without a single call for an interview.

        Yes! after much work (and a total inability to use the auction house while on a trial account), I finally have one gold. The final push took me into the region north of Ironforge, several missions earning 5s took me to a place filled with Elder Bears in the level 12-14 range, and there it was, Ol’ Smokey.

 Night 2 went rather well, we wrapped up a few unfinished quests, I picked my main professions (Shinning, and mining) learned to fish and leveled it up to 150 already. And learned that when selling stuff to a vendor, the junk you fish up sells MUCH better than the fish or even the cooked fish. But a few things I learned that are slightly annoying, on a 10 day trial, you cannot use the auction house, and you cannot trade with other players.
