Another day, another Copper.

Night 2 went rather well, we wrapped up a few unfinished quests, I picked my main professions (Shinning, and mining) learned to fish and leveled it up to 150 already. And learned that when selling stuff to a vendor, the junk you fish up sells MUCH better than the fish or even the cooked fish. But a few things I learned that are slightly annoying, on a 10 day trial, you cannot use the auction house, and you cannot trade with other players.

But let’s start at the interesting points, I made a friend. Yeah they sound young, but they are not a Timmy, (at least at the moment they aren’t, I came around a corner to see my arch-nemisis harassing a poor lvl7 dwarf hunter.  Being a hunter myself, I came to the rescue; Onehitdead (still lvl 10) must not have been willing to tangle with me (lvl 12) now that I have a wolf (Also lvl 12) in tow.   I could tell the young hunter wanted to talk to me (from the frantic twitching and jumping as they tried to find the type commands. I waited patiently, as the player squeeked out….
“are you a hunter like me?”
“yes”  I said in as much confidence that one can muster in a text bubble
“can you kill bears?”
“yes, do you need help on a quest?”
“yup, can you help?”
“Sure”

So off we went, the little lvl 7 charging down frost claw bears, and me taking them out before they could land the 3 hits required to kill my little friend. My wolf did most of the damage, my rifle doing just about as much, and the little lvl 7 eking out 3-4 damage per hit.   She(the toon was female) got the loot I got the hides. We tagged each other as friends and I gave some directions on where to train, how best to fight, where the city was, and why her gun stopped working (it ran out of ammo before she reached lvl 3)
Then it was time to call it a night.

Since this is still a throw away account, I have been thinking about how to build a character for my permanent account. My wife and I have made the decision to be Human since that helps her the most with her choice of Paladin, we want to start together, so I also will choose human….but my original choice of Shaman can’t be human….damn. But I am enjoying the life of a hunter. I know they are all too common, but to give some variety to our party, a second paladin can only help so much. I also debated a priest, rogue, or mage, but I like to have at least a little armor between myself and the teeth and claws that are intent on tearing me apart. So, WoW faithful, what would you recommend for my human toon?

Today we should get the prognosis back from the computer store. Here’s hoping for an affordable resolution to our computer issues.

Good blog man. I gotta stop reading it though before I get sucked back into WOW!!! For your main account when you start it, I would recommend going hybrid class - Druid or Paladin as you are set on being human. It's impossible to know initially what you will like doing end game and picking one of those two means you can pretty much do anything, and do it well. Going hybrid doesn't mean you are a 'watered' down jack of all trades and master of none either (which is what I mistakenly thought when I started). Ultimately, it doesn't matter which class you pick, once you start playing you will probably level up multiple toons ( I have 3 80's and countless others above 60)

Warlock. That's my fav. You'll get to call in a minion, so it will be sort of like a hunter, except you get a lot of cool DoT (Damage over Time) spells. I always found it to be a very versatile class, and has virtually no down-time (having to sit and eat food and water). You can easily beat up enemies higher level than you as well. What realm do you plan on playing at? If you aren't planning on going on the same realm as the 2o2p Failure guild, maybe pick Elune? I have some toons there and can help you guys out a bit. I believe Failure's realm is PvP, which means the horde players can freely kill you (which I find really annoying).

we haven't picked a realm yet, I think Failure is on Greymane, the Realm guide says that's a normal realm, the same kind as Elune. and I agree, I'm not really a PvP person.
