Total Nerdgasm

Logged onto Live last night and saw some surprise release thing from Irrational Games....my wife mentions that she is curious, so we click the video.  we are greated with a brief glimpse of an under water world, and we are both glued to the screen, mouthes open in total shock and awe. watching the whole video nudging each other and whispering,

"can it be?",

"no, no, no way, it can't",

"but what if it is?"

"it sure looks like it"

"But we would have heard SOMETHNG"

"I know, but it has to be"

Then the final screen confirmed our suspissions, Bioshock Infinate.

We sat in stunned silence for....I'm not sure how long, but for the first time since we saw the first video for the original Bioshock, we simply sat, wordless expressionless emotions of  joy bouncing between us without moving or even taking our eyes from the screen. We watched it 2 more times. 

For the first time in a long time, I am looking forward to a game with the giddy joy, excitement, and a drive that has me watching the video again every chance I get.  the only problem now is that the simple act of knowing this game is coming out has ruined any anticipation I have held for any other game comming out between now and then. 

I read every review I can, tales of the demo, the story, the heros and villians. I fight to find more information......I am excited, actually excited for something, I thought this part of me died a long time ago, the part of me that was willing to stand in line days ahead of time hoping ot be the first to hold it in my hands.....that feeling has returned.....

then truth crashes down on me.....expected release date, 2012..... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! FUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCK!!!!! I can't wait that long! I'll die, shrivel up and there will be nothing left of me by 2012 to play it.    And yet this feeling just makes me want it more.

Kevin Levine, you are truly a GOD of game design.  If you weren't a man I'd kiss you......well, I might have anyway, I'm THAT excited about this game.
