FYI. For my part, I have rescinded that banning and Autarch can join my party anytime he wants.

Damnit! I never get to do anything 'first' on the internet! Oh well... I indeed have little recollection of 2012, as I was being treated for PTSD (That bugger still crept up on me and I thought I had dodged that bullet), and was going in and out of hospitals due to my disability.

Other than that, I've little interest in Halo, so I might have been around but totally was oblivious about it since I rarely or ever participate in threads I don't have interest in.

So, I wonder on what tangent this thread has veered off in... back to lurking. ^^

I'm fairly certain we could get the majority of 2o2p'ers to agree and become best friends if this thread turned into a bacon and boobs thread.  Just sayin'.  wink

The correlation between boobs and bacon is disturbing. I'll never look at women the same way. You ruined women!

I have ruined women, but that's not important at the moment...this bacon you speak of, where can I obtain it?

Another thing Laser, are you claiming that there isn't any individual who will not buy an Xbox One because of DRM, server shut down concerns, etc?

I'm not sure who "we" is supposed to represent in your posts.

In any event, if nobody is deciding against buying an Xbox One because of DRM and potential loss of their ability to play games on it that will surely make Microsoft employees happy.

Its great news you've shared!

;)

'We' is referring to the posters on Reddit and other forums who are hesitant to purchase the xbone because of the issues you've mentioned, along with other issues.

This thread is now an argument for the sake of argument. I got alzheimers from just reading the last posts.

As the guy who set up the 2old2retro forum I feel I should contribute to this discussion.

On second thoughts I don't think I'm brave enough to stick my head up.

I like that Sinclair 48k. You remember how the tv-out socket would become loose after a while and you had to do all kinds of tricks to get a signal? It was the only thing that would make a perfectly good homecomputer unusable, not counting being hamfisted with the kempston interface which was totally under your control anyway. ^^ Good times!

Biggest problem I remember was having to clean the tape deck heads all the time to get the games to load. I used to get most of my games sent on a cassette from a buddy in Czechoslovakia. DRM my arse!

BTW I still have my sinclair in its original box and last time I fired it up about 2 years ago it still worked. Of course if I want to play some games its easy enough to do (legally) on an emulator.

I don't know what that contributes to the current gen discussion though.

Nothing at all, dude. I saw the Sinclair in your siggie and remembered the hours where I entered basic listings from the monthly free game in Your Sinclair. Which led me to publications by David Ahl of Creative Computing which led me to blah blah blah. Anyway, I'm a member of Sir Clive's fanclub on FB. Genius=genius. I love the guy.

Maybe Autarch tries too hard, and maybe Azure refers to people still willing to buy an X-bone as shills, or sheep, or whatever else a bit too much, but it's all pretty much harmless. Nobody is going change anyone's opinion, and as long as it stays civil, what's the harm? It's sparking discussion, nothing wrong with that.

Of course not. People's personal sexual preferences are nobodys business but their own.

not sure if anyone saw the interview but Major Nelson said the ability to plug a 360 into an xb1 (via the hdmi "in" port) is possible. You could then play your 360 games on the xb1, for as long as the server based games would remain active and any single player game not dependant on an active server.

Inconvient I would agree. But it does rule the argument to not purchase a xb 1 due to BC moot.

Not trolling, just informing. Hugs not slugs. Complimentary picture of amazing set of tata's for all that would like to appreciate them. She is in Pigtails and boobs are covered, but I will classify NSFW just in case.

NOt sure that really counts as backcompat, you still need to keep your old hardware to make it work.  You're just daisy chaining them together over an HDMI cable.  It's interesting but I wouldn't personally call that backcompat.

@ LB That info was news to me, and changed my mind a bit....thanks! *and thanks for giving the info and not just posting a link. I hate reading through a bunch of crap I don't care about to get to the info I want ;)*

@ Parcells you make me giggle. I like you. Not in a creepy, stalkerish way though. Not yet anyway...

@ old school why do you think everything I post is a set up? I just post what I'm thinking, minus the squirrels, cats and Sasquatch!

I wondered about that.  To me that's great - I won't be using it for TV, and that way I don't have to buy an HDMI switcher.  I do wonder about being logged into both at the same time though - how would that work?

the only thing I can think, is that both systems while having the same gamertag, aren't really intertwined - achievements will be different on each one, so there's no conflict there.  So you could be logged into both with the same tag.

@kitten I think since you are logged into the XB 1 it would act as the main log in and would just as a pass through (the techie magics!!!) to tell your 360 yep, I am your MASTER!!!

But this is total conjecture on my part.

So here's a question. If XB1 goes along with the same concept of Sony's PlayGo ideawhere you DL a protion of the game, start playing it then as you play the game continues to DL in the background?

Would this add to your idea of convinience over cost?
