downloaded this and gave it a VERY quick run just to see how my low end graphics card handled it. 1080p @ max setting (stock game with no mods) I was getting very decent frame rate. maybe I can race saturday afterall. and by race I maen crash.

Great stuff, it's a mature older game well optimized so should be fine, Croft is a nice track with no real nasty sections. Practice a couple of twenty min races with about ten AI to sort out your fuel strategy and set up your settings for the pit stops. I set up one best case scenario stop, one worst case scenario and a splash and dash just in case I have cut the fuel a little too fine...like last week.

Do you have Team Speak set up and the details of the server?

ok, i didn't want to waste time getting it and setting it up if it wasn't worth it.  What didn't you like about it?

I honestly can't remember lol the mod wasn't bad pretty sure the ffb was good, if iam correct I think I removed it because it was just another modern wtcc mod with 1 or 2 new cars and they all had the same paints . Nothing major just mostly a personal dislike, if they had skins I would have been fine with it :)

Church had mentioned last weekend if the weather could be changed.  We told him it could, so I was wonder if we would ever run in wet weather.  I have actually never run in wet weather but I can imagine it how difficult it would be.

I tested that mod on a few tracks and its a hell of alot better than the old one!

Lots of cars including a few more rwd, btcc skins and names!

Soundsyes

Graphicsyes

Physicsyes With some tweaks rwd are alot easier to control than the wtcc ones!

One the down its missing a few current models from the btcc series...honda typr r, toyota, ford but makes up for it by adding more smiley but to run it you must have stcc and stcc2 not sure if everyone has those add ons?

I think it would make for a really good season 2 series give guys alot more options and have btcc skins BUT it has to pass the online test.....iam assuming it will because no mods get put on nogrip if there illegal or wont work on line.

I think if enough guys have the add on content to run the mod we should test one sat and get people opinionssmiley

Could do one in dry and the second in rain, Kurupt may have to do a bit of juggling but it could be a chuckle.

i can set it to changeable for the remainder and the computer will decide......or its on/off dont think i can switch back and forth without restarting the server......i just remembered today that i havent been reversing the grid after the first race lol

ill tinker with the server later and see what i can do!

Hmm....must be clashing with another mod? Try removing some mods u dont use....and see if that helps? I removed all the mods from livingsimracing & italiansim.net I found a lot of there Mods were illegal and they were using available car ids for there Mods causing alot of crashes

Ive been following this mod for quit some time over at Racedepartment and its finally been released......

STCC98 reloaded by AndreasFC

its a revised version of the rfactor mod that you guys are currently testing......all new sounds, graphics and physics.

I did a quick 5 lap race @ brands and i must say its pretty freaking awesome! personally i feel its the best touring car mod i ve tested :)

So good I would love to run a series if there was enough interest

i believe all the cars are fwd, and being on race 07 the ai and graphics are much better

Hmm the thought of trying to sort out the chaos of my install fills me with dread, steam have really screwed it everywhich way. If you do want to run one at a time suitable, and there is enoiugh interest I'll set about it.

Simbin politely asked steam to fix the issues with there titles a while back and has been running properly ever since the update :)

the physics are excellent and doesn't have that extra grip that most race series mods have been known for, push too hard and they can be a handful.  I haven't tested enough to see if there are any more bugs.  I'll give it a go another time and see if I come across anything
