From what I've read I think I'm glad I skipped the Xbox One and FM5. The graphics of the cars and environments should be better it's on new hardware and I expect the sound and physics to be better also. This is a no brainer. But the game is unfinished and not worth the purchase imo or spending lot's more cash on dlc and tokens. Come on there is soo much missing from the game which should be in and everyone exploring the game is finding this out. Look at the whole drag racing debacle. This game is borked on release with more missing and not working correctly than is.With the whole nickel and diming Turn 10 is doing in the game it should of been a F2P model that came free with the new system. Anyone buying the standard version of this game $59.99 and not buying any dlc or tokens or anything more whatsover over the course of the game will have a seriously gimped game compared to others buying all the car/track/tokens dlc to have all the bells and whistles the game will ultimately will offer over the next two years. So how much is everyone willing to spend on FM5 just for the game alone? 60? 100? 200? 300? I imagine you could really sink alot of cash into the game if you want.
I know I'm breaking the rules of your thread Ink (I do not have FM5) but Parcells just spent some time perusing the Forza forums and I got to say it sounds like Turn10 did a good job of making it very difficult (race grind) for casual gamers to acquire cars in their "Car lovers" game. Unless of course you wish to purchase car tokens to speed up the process which is readily available at every turn I read...always willing to take more of your money. Not sure of the facts but one disturbed individual claimed it would cost you upwards of $50.00 worth of car tokens just purchase the Lotus F1?? Hope he was excaggerating.

You no longer earn XP, Affinity or CR when driving a showroom model/rented car in MP Lobbies.
So how do you earn XP? You GRIND your way through the career mode which has very small payouts.
The Drivatars are worse than the AI ever where. In large part because they have not been fully trained by their human counterparts. Here is my question? When will they learn proper technique if they are all trying to avoid one another by going off the racing line and breaking mid corner constantly. Mind you, every career event (regardless of the track layout) has 16 Drivatars waiting for you.
Yes, but you must drive a car in your garage. If you drive a showroom car you will NOT earn XP or Affinity. Money is very hard to come by compared to FM4. I know you are going to get the game Oldschool and I don't want to deter you but I feel I have to tell you that FM5 is a shell. Not just in regards to content either. All the things that helped our community thrive seem to have been cut out. I can't send you, nor can you send me, vinyls or logo cars. No more. You know as well as I do that trading and sharing those things was huge. You and I collaborated at least once on a project. Well, forget it, that is no more. We will each have to make all of our decals on our own.

Oh, and some cars are NOT available to run stock in a MP lobby unless you own it/have one in your garage. Tokens. It's all about the TOKENS.
The graphics are astounding. Play it for a couple of hours then go play FM4. You will be stunned at how much better it is. I guess that is what's really important.

Well I guess there is always hope for "The Crew" Maybe we can set some races up in it. I feel like they destroyed the stuctured multiplayer side of Forza, no clubs, rental cars, etc. I enjoy the single player side of it but still its just different.
After reading this, sounds like my assumptions are pretty close. Time for a new racing simulator since T10 has crashed into a ditch.
I have not played it, but have all the other Forzas and 4 it was to easy to make money and such, now it sounds like they went to the other extreme. With it being on the XBone only and hearing that they cut tracks I was pretty upset about the game. But no Store Fronts? WTH!?!
Seriously? Man if no one thinks this game was rushed to make it at launch your eyes must be closed. How much for an incompleted game? Shit with all the microtransactions and DLC they should of gave digital copies out with the XBone as a free to play game.
I have high hopes that they are going to impement the missing features and fix the broken ones. I think the chances of them shifting focus off tokens are pretty slim, however. Maybe if the sales of tokens are extremely low and people keep complaining they will fix this in FM6. But as for car clubs, sharing, and what not, I think they will be back.

I've realized that Forza 5 is a single player game, would love anyone to deny it with hard facts n such. Any other point of view just doesn't fit well. At least not at this time, maybe it'll get better, but T-10's track records not too good in that direction. Maybe being a launch title they'll have a little more pressure on them to "fix it", but I'll drop back on "when I see it..."

You are correct, sir! It is essentially a one player game. And, T10 does not have a good track record. The game isn't broken, though. It's exactly what they wanted it to be. It's just so unfortunate that all of the things that fostered community interaction have been eliminated. Gifting, SF and AH are all gone. I can't believe it...even though they said those things were out I still went ahead and picked it up because I didn't realize how much it would change the game for me. Oldschool, it goes against my way but I have to say to you - don't bother. It's just not the same old Forza we've come to love.

I know you're not a SONY fan but keep an eye on the reviews from the guys here about GT6. You've become a damn good racer and it would be a shame to not have you try it if the guys here give good reviews. It's always been a great race game but it just lacked a little of the depth that Forza had. Still, you could get in some great racing for a fraction of the cost to try Fauxza 5.

They will have a storefront. There is a tab for it . Under the tab it says storefront coming soon.
