That is a good article. Dan makes some fair points about Forza 5 compared to past Forza games and the Gran Turismo games.
Don't compare the games. They have all the tools to do what they need to do. He stated that they have been working on this since before F4 and still only have 200 cars and 14 tracks. Now they can turn out 10 cars a month if you pay for them. Oh yeah those are cars that are already in F4 and not new to Forza. A lot of the tracks were fantasy tracks and were cut. Why? Don't need to send a crew to use the lazer to map them out. They cut most of the Community out. No replays, No Storefront, No Auction House, can't sell cars back to the game, No gifting. There was so much that they could have left in. They are totally out of touch with the community, its laughable. If they were to have the same graphics and added those 3 tracks or any tracks at all, we would not be having this discussion.

Yea been reading some of his post. He really has no clue does he. Theses guys are compairing F5 to COD and Dead Rising. They don't even understand the difference in the game genre. Oh well.
Overall I'm happy with my X1 purchase, I know there are games coming out that I will want. Forza was a big bullet point for getting it and I hate to see how the online part of it was changed. I am enjoying the singleplayer part and I really hope they attempt at improving the community side.
Since the TM wheel is pc compatible I'm still looking to get that. iRacing just autorenewed so I decided to install that again.

2) have my 2O4F brethren sticking up for me over at the Forza forums
3) emailed the Mod with my response he never received and explained to him how weak he is argument is - cannot hold water in an open forum.
4) also emailed Turn10...told them I have no problem with the ban just the manner in which it was done. Will fall on deaf ears but I dont care.

I'm very sorry but Forza 5 has not and wil not "define racing for the next generation". That statement is just hype and quite frankly comes off as arrogant. Especially now that I have tried Fauxza 5.
T10 created a visually impressive racing/car game that still contains many of the core car customization features that made it so good. I have spent literally hundreds of hours building, tuning, painting and practicing my racecraft. Many players have done that both in this club and out there in the general Forza community. No big deal. What makes it different for us here is that all of those efforts and all of that work was then put into a community that then created racing series that continue to go on now and probably will for a some time. There are other on-line communities that do this as well... TORA is an example. The changes made to this game, specifically, the removal of Gifting, the AH and the SF were made to make acquiring and sharing resources much more difficult. Why? So that we would have to pay actual cash for the things we want. Inexcusable. Now someone could come in here and reply to the comment I just made but the fact is that there is NO OTHER REASON for T10/MS to have made such a radical change that would be so detrimental to the faithful community that grew from Forza. Period. If you disagree that's fine but I will let you know now, you are wrong. It's a plain old money grab.
I will gladly accept the free cars that they will be giving out but I still think the way the in-game economy is set up amounts to a fuck job.

I've said my peace for now over there for now. I really just wanted to fuck with worm more than anything, seeing as he's always been a tool, even before T10 enabled him by making that turd a mod.
The fact that T10 now says that this is the game they wanted just kills my enthusiasm for the future of the series.
I hope that they realize the errors of their ways, and in future titles return the core community features that helped clubs like this one thrive. I'm not holding my breath.
