Turns out the Court of Oryx Artifact drops are dependant on light level. Or so it seems. I've been getting 334/335 drops since getting to 332. Hammerdrake was only getting 318-ish with a character around 315, I think.
I may have helped with +6 level 3 boss rounds in Court of Oryx. Not one legendary dropped. My 3 of coins got goobled up and nothing dropped for that either.
Why do some Court of Oryx bosses use 3 of coins and others don't?
I don't know the reasoning behind why some take 3oC and some do not. Just like some strike bosses do not take 3oC - Psion Flayers and Omnigul.
Also, in CoO, I don't think you are guaranteed a legendary drop unless it's your Tier 3 rune. In fact, I'm not sure any will drop unless you are using your rune.
I'm almost certain I got legendary drops last week without a Rune. I can't say for sure though. Sometimes I had an Antiquated Rune and sometimes I didn't.
3oC won't work on bosses with elemental shields. Psion Flayers/Omnigul have shields so get classified as Majors instead of Ultras. The same is probably true of Court bosses: shielded bosses don't count, unshielded bosses should, but I haven't tested it. You would be able to tell if you check after you kill a boss, the exotic particles symbol on the character screen is gone if it the boss counts as an ultra. If the boss doesn't count, like Omnigul, it would still be there after you kill the boss.
I decrypted 3 exotic engrams with my character at 335, and they all wound up being 334. As a test, I dropped my char's light level to 334.5, and two exotics so far have decrypted at 335.
I couldn't find a tactical use for the P&T invisibility in year one - takes too long to engage, doesn't last long enough, and you have to stay in ADS. I really liked the P&T though for arc Nightfalls. I'd use the Ice Breaker to make ammo, then switch back to P&T.
All weekend, whenever I had an exotic to decrypt I'd do as a 334.5 or just short of 335. Most became 335, but a couple became 334.
Still glitches at the ship. I ran solo for awhile this morning. Got to the closed door at the ship and took out the first wave of taken from just short of the ship ramp. Second wave did not appear and Ghost was gone from closed door. Thought there might be still be a blight, but after running around all over the place assured myself that first wave was completely done with. Jumped off a cliff and tried again from up the path. This time the second wave appeared after I cleared the first wave but then I ran out of time dammit.
I solo'd Thalnok this evening. Took about 4 tries. The trick for me was to shoot the left wizard from cover then run around under the deck and shoot the right wizard. The sword knight is usually on you by then so just exotic sword him then bring Thalnok to his knees. Eazy peazy, nope.
Also got a 335 artifact on a Stolen Rune. And have had a 335 Treads Upon Stars and 335 Imago Loop drop in heroic strikes. All were while my warlock was at 333.
Note to all Destiny players with Elite Controllers. If you set your left trigger to short pull you will lose full speed on your Sparrow. I had wondered why my 160 Sparrow was slower than those of others (and made the butt of unappreciated jokes in SRL). Finally figured it out by resetting my left trigger to full pull (default). Now the Sparrow flies!! Thought that the trade off would make more difficult weapon sighting but found that not to be the case.
Note to all Destiny players with Elite Controllers. If you set your left trigger to short pull you will lose full speed on your Sparrow. I had wondered why my 160 Sparrow was slower than those of others (and made the butt of unappreciated jokes in SRL). Finally figured it out by resetting my left trigger to full pull (default). Now the Sparrow flies!! Thought that the trade off would make more difficult weapon sighting but found that not to be the case.
If you like both settings; with the Elite, you can have both settings programmed and switch on the fly. On e of the nice features of the new controller.

I've been using Patience and Time a bit. Still a good gun. No/little kick at all.
More decrypt testing - at 334 LL, the last few exotics have all come in at 335. At 335 LL, most have come in at 335 but one came in at 334.
Tried out P&T in a few matches over the weekend - it will probably get more use. Love the stability, and going invisible while ADS was useful.

I earned a nice 335 ghost in Challenge of Elders. Infused into a fully upgraded version.
All pleased as punch, I go to look at my earnings before logging off. The infuse failed. The old one was still 334. Shit!
Accidental deletion is possible but I doubt it.
