Update is buggy. Lots of people are reporting they visited the Reef and didn't get their Sterling Treasure box, clan tags have disappeared, and that extra vault space hasn't shown up.

I logged in to do a quick check and can confirm that all of these problems are real.

Come on, Bungie.

Got my treasure box with my second character at the Tower postmaster.  Looks like vault space has doubled for me for general and consumable stuff.  Didn't really focus on weapons or armor.  Just noticed that my clan tag has disappeared as well. Glad I go that achievement already.  Wonder what the fan boys will say about this.

To fix your clan tag issue, go to your profile on bungie.net, go to your clan page, click 'Interact' and then 'repair xbox clan'.

That's good info Achy. I was considering waiting on decrypting my Exotic engrams until I was at least 320, but it sounds like I should go ahead.

I'm enjoying being able to actually upgrade my stuff now and getting instant gratification instead of the baby steps we used to have to take. I now have options on what to use and what to wear, so I'm happy with the infusion changes.

Also, I got my three treasure boxes last night - postmaster, PoE and Crucible - no problem.

I'll be getting on tonight. I heard the PoE challenge is pretty easy, just have to go to the left on some ledge and your good to go.

Yeah saving my engrams was a lifesaver.  Had around 50 clogging up my vault.  Though to be honest leveling up is even easier with new drops around or higher than current light level.  I bet within the next two weeks 335 will be everywhere.  Shoot i hit 334 in one day.

I'm not in too big a hurry to reach max light. This "content" is going to have to last us until at least the fall, so I don't see the point in rushing through things.

I guess the point now will be to actually be able to min/max your characters to use and wear what you like - and this is good.

I agree, Darth. Why burn yourself out rushing to get to max LL, just to turn around and complain that there's nothing to do? Two days in and it's already starting. Sheesh.

Bungie set the expectations for this appropriately. It's an update, not an expansion like TTK or HoW, and like Darth said, the main goal of this seems to be about customization. I can see it's still gonna take a while to get full sets of Spectar and Taken gear, and there's still IB, Trials, and King's Fall. Plus there are other games if you're bored with Destiny, and there's also this great big shiny thing in the sky outside we can all enjoy (perhaps except for you Canadians, I'm told).

The amount of content is really disappointing. However I went from 311 to 315 on my Hunter last night.

I got my Sterling Treasure for my Titan char soon after the update but no Sterling Treasures for my Hunter and Warlock chars? The Sterling Treasure is account-wide?

Yes, Cheez, the treasure is account wide. Each week you'll get one (per account) from the Postmaster, Crucible weekly playlist and PoE - so that's 3 total per week.

If you see people in full taken or chroma gear this week, they bought extra treasure through Eververse.

I see. Too bad Bungie didn't provide any update to sort out which char obtained most, if not all, Calcified fragments and which didn't yet. sad

You can see exactly which Calcified Fragments you have unlocked, per character, on bunge.net. Go to My Legend > Progress. This was implemented some time ago.

Played Blighted Chalice Nightfall with two deaf gamers last night and we finished off Malok with few nice drops (Hood of Malok for my Hunter char).

Ran Prison of Elders normal with Olaberas last night and got the best drop: a 305 Patience and Time snipe rifle!

Nice, don't' be afraid of the 42 PoE. It's really easy. Just run it 3 times to complete the challenge.

Exactly Achy. I see about a month before everyone is pretty much maxed out with the way thing appear to be dropping. I guess that will be the time to take a break before the next update which is suppose to be this summer I believe.

The Bungie weekly update states more content coming this Fall.

https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/44657/7_This-Week-at-Bungie--0414...

Quote:

The dust from our deployment has yet to settle, but I can sense a question bubbling up to the top of your throat:

“What’s next?”

Ask us again sometime. There’s fresh fighting to do in the Prison of Elders, and beyond. The Taken threat requires your action, and there is sweet loot to earn as your reward.

The next point on the horizon is an update we’re cooking up for the Fall. I’ve seen it. I’m excited about it. I will say no more… For now.

Hopefully, the ramp up to the April Update served up some proof that we love speaking at length about new Destiny content, once it arrives at its final form. Later on this summer, we’ll show you the scope, scale, and flavor for the next challenge you’ll face.

Until then, we’ll see you in the Reef. And the Tower. And, you know, the Crucible. All the places, basically.

I'm terribly disappointed in the amount of new content. It's not going to last very long at all. I think I'll be running destiny 1, maybe 2 nights a week. Here's something interesting for what's next: http://kotaku.com/well-heres-a-fun-new-destiny-conspiracy-theory-1771072131

The third phrase caught my attention: "The third phrase roughly translates to “Through boldness to the stars,” and it’s been a common marketing slogan for Bungie over the past few years."

Seems like the Sept. 20 DLC expansion is the launching point to 2017's Destiny 2: Comet?

I think Challenge of Elders is especially easy this week due to the multipliers. Small Arms meant my Hung Jury (giggity) was hitting harder than my heavy machine gun and the bonus for headshots makes it easier to reach your point totals.

Similar to how the Skolas fight used to work - some weeks were much easier than others due to the multipliers.

I expect this was to jump-start us with some easily obtainable upgrades.

This is more of a quality of life update than a content drop. Now my alts won't be lagging behind my main due to being starved for gear. The new infusion system is what it should have been all along.

I agree about the challenge.  Deep and I two-manned it 2 nights ago with little trouble.  Was looking to run more last night but everyone seemed to be locked in.

Also the level 41 POE was very easy.  Two randoms and I ran it last night with no issues  whatsoever.  Rewards sucked though.

Actually 41 PoE can still be quite a challenge based on the rounds. One run I got the new Taken Cabal boss for the final round and it was tough. The room was filled with those axion darts.

That! Last night. Holy shit. Had to use Titan defender bubble to give randoms orbs and light protection.

Apparently Bungie now acknowledges that there was an issue with the free sterling treasure boxes that were supposed to show up at the Postmaster and is working on a fix that should be available tomorrow..  It impacted anyone that signed onto Bungie.net or logged into Destiny prior to the update.  That's why  I received it with my second character.  Details below:

Solo'd the new NF today. Didn't use the cheese method either, though I did have the opportunity to see what that was all about.
