I'm entering the next round of the Pac Majors, coming off a win in the F1 car at Monza. Tonight's combination: Aston Martin DBR9 at Road Atlanta. Should be a good time. Race starts at 6pm PDT.
I wasn't expecting to have the pace to run at the front, so focused on staying clean and avoiding damaging the car. As the race progressed I slowly picked my way forward taking advantage of others mistakes. By mid-point I would find myself in the lead and wouldn't look back until the checkered flag.
John Bain decides to explain the differences between the professional reviews and the user-scores for Mad Max. Apart from the fact that user-scores are absolute rubbish (too much sand, IGN or 10/10 wud mad max again), he embarks on a diatribe that includes movies, tooting his own horn (I'm so good at reviewing it hurts) and generally burying whatever it is he wanted to say under a layer of noise.
MGS5 is the game we're all be waiting for. The game we gamers deserve. The game that justifies owning $500 consoles that for over a year now have been not much more than very expensive set-top Netflix boxes. The game that the PCmasterrace builds their extemely overpriced and overpowered controller-less home-brew consoles for. The game that's above reproach even though it does everything gamers profess to be against, down to blatantly disrespecting the gamer that bought it.
If you've been on the fence about trying it out, there has never been a better time. While the free accounts have their restrictions, you can still experience 90% of the game at no cost...including no level caps (minimum levels are required to leave starting areas and enter WvW). Yep, you can play and level a toon all the way up to the max level of 80.
And down the road if you choose to purchase the Heart of Thorns expansion...your existing account gets upgraded/unlocked. So no starting over!
So if you've ever been curious about it, feel "free" to check it out.
For those of you doubting the game technically, TB findings are positive and in line with the findings of other players (including I). Mad Max is of a rare quality that we actually should demand from all games. It is possible afterall. After this game, other studios really have no excuses left.
