Well, after several weeks of burning the candle at both ends in preparation for the 2old2play XBL Community Playdate last night, I have succumbed to whatever ailment that my kindler, gentler half (my girlfriend) has been battling all week. I had to call in sick to my "real" job and have spent most of the day in bed, next to the dog, in and out of consciousness and pounding as much OJ and vitamins as I can get down my gullet.

I had to call in sick to my "real" job and have spent most of the day in bed, next to the dog, in and out of consciousness and pounding as much OJ and vitamins as I can get down my gullet.
WOW! What a night. It was most definitely chaotic, but a ton of fun. We had at least 15 full rooms going and even with that it appears that some folks were not able to get into rooms tonight. The response to this event was simply overwhelming and I want to thank everyone who participated for their support and patience. At all points during the evening, I was fielding multiple FR's and messages on XBL requesting invites. I met a ton of new folks tonight and must say that it was a pleasure to game with everyone of of you that I saw tonight.

(Check the yellow banner at the top of this page for information on this event if you need it.). Currently, we have 10 rooms set up and it looks like we will be adding at least 3 - 5 more by Sunday.

The upcoming 2old2play XBL Community Playdate (Feb. 8th from 8 - 11 pm est. in case you have been living in a cave outside of this website lately) has made it to the official Gears of War home page - https://gearsofwar.xbox.com/ .Thanks to AOW Member velvet396 for the heads up on this one. We are still getting a ton of incoming FR's to the Gamer Tag that we set up for this event (Meet2old2play) and we are in need of more 2old2play Gearheads who would like to host rooms. This thing grows daily and we can use all the help we can get.
