Watchmen Movie & Interview with Gerard K. Marino

Today's blog will be relatively short (no wall of text to confound LB this time ). I am getting ready to head out see the Watchmen on IMAX with my girl and some friends from Twitter. I am looking forward to this movie will report back on my impressions later. Though I presume that most of our members here at 2old2play are planning to see this flick as well.

The Video Game Orchestra - An Amazing Experience

I just returned from a performance by the Video Game Orchestra (VGO) at the Berklee Performance Center this evening and I must say it was quite an experience. It was a thrill to hear some of the best video game scores performed live by a full orchestra and accompanying choir. The musicians exhibited remarkable talent as they brought to life music from games spanning popular franchises such as Myst, Sonic, Final Fantasy, Jade Empire, Caesar IV, Mass Effect, Brothers in Arms and much more.

Interview With Chris Dibari - Principle Artist for the Warriors Comic Book Series

I just wrapped up my Skype interview with Chris Dibari and will be posting the full taping very soon. As mentioned in my previous blog, Chris is the Principle Artist for the new Warriors Comic Book Series, a huge fan of the original film and an avid video game player. I would like to thank Chris for taking the time to speak with me and discuss his work on the Warriors comic books series and in support of The Warriors - Street Brawl game coming to Xbox Live this summer.

Warriors Comic Issue # 1 Review

When the movie The Warriors came out in 1979 I distinctly remember my brother, who was 16 at the time (I was 12) heading out to the theater to see this movie with his friends. Being a time when gaining access to a Rated R movie as a teen was more about simply having the stones to walk up to the window and purchase a ticket and less about having any proper form of ID, my older brother loomed large in my world. In this environment, my brother was a bit of a icon to me and my friends.
