Gone Fishin'

Got up at 4 am this morning to go kayak fishing for striped bass with my British friend Sean. It was (for once) a beautiful day in Boston and we made the most of it. Although I caught numerous fish, all were under 28", which is the legal size for keeping this species in Mass. My friend Sean bagged a very nice 36" fish to take home for dinner. As soon as we pulled our kayaks onto shore, the temp dropped 20 degrees and a huge fog bank rolled in to block out all visability. We got in just in time.

I went to the Good Life in Boston tonight to check out the new Oxytocin show and meet up with our very own DSmooth. Though we have lived in relatively the same area (outside of Boston) for almost five years, this was the first time meeting Derek and despite hisreputation, the guy is pretty cool. We hung out and check out the incredible show put on by the Harmonix crew and even spent some time chatting with Nay, female chanteuse from Oxytocin, who also served as a Producer for Rock Band Beatles.

I walked into the comic book shop (Comically Speaking at 575 Main St. in Reading, MA) yesterday to check out the status of my game shop endeavor and drop off the new Dreamcast collection we scored on Friday (be sure to let me know if you are looking for an elusive Dreamcast game, we now have the entire collection of domestically released games) and was met by yet another pleasant suprise.

I walked into the comic book shop (Comically Speaking at 575 Main St. in Reading, MA) yesterday to check out the status of my game shop endeavor and drop off the new Dreamcast collection we scored on Friday (be sure to let me know if you are looking for an elusive Dreamcast game, we now have the entire collection of domestically released games) and was met by yet another pleasant suprise.

For those of you who read my brief review of the Oxytocin CD Release Party that I attended at the Middlesex in Cambridge, MA last Monday, you know that I was completely blown away by the show and the music. I did not think it was possible to be more impressed by this group of musicians who also happen to all work for Harmonix. Well, as they did with their live show, the Oxytocin crew threw me a curveball in the form of more pleasant suprises when I met them in person at Kedaar Kumar's pad in Medford earlier this evening.
