My girl and I went over to our friends' new house yesterday to celebrate the fourth with some beers and BBQ around the pool. The weather was amazing (for the first time in almost a month), the company was wonderful and it was good to simply be able to enjoy the day. Here are a few pics from festivities. (pics were taken on my Blackberry, so that kind of suck)

I just confirmed this evening that Kedaar and members of the Oxytocin crew (www.oxytocinmusic.com) will be joining us for our own little 2old2play Game With Fame session as part of our second monthly Community Playdate on Tuesday, July 21st. This event is really shaping up to be quite the gaming evening. So far we have rooms confirmed for Gears of War 2, Halo 2, COD 4 & W@W, Forza 2, Rainbow 6, Red Faction: Gorilla & Texas Hold Em Poke on XBLA.

I went to Pin Maineia today. Pin Maine is an anual pinball tournament that takes place in Saco Maine at the home of John Reuter, pinball enthusiast and admin for www.nepinball.com . This event last three days and is a blast to attend for any pinball junkie. I was only able to attend the final day of the event today, but had a blast and was very impressed by John's collections of machines. Check out these pics for a taste of the action.

Gone Fishin'

Got up at 4 am this morning to go kayak fishing for striped bass with my British friend Sean. It was (for once) a beautiful day in Boston and we made the most of it. Although I caught numerous fish, all were under 28", which is the legal size for keeping this species in Mass. My friend Sean bagged a very nice 36" fish to take home for dinner. As soon as we pulled our kayaks onto shore, the temp dropped 20 degrees and a huge fog bank rolled in to block out all visability. We got in just in time.
