I got up at 5 am to go fishing for Striped Bass via my kayak this morning. I didn't have much luck, but my friend Sean hooked into this 40" beauty.

Luck for me, Sean already "has a freezer full of striper" so he gave me his catch to take home and cook for the little lady. Needless to say, my girlfriend says I can go fishing with Sean any time I want. :)

I stopped by the vintage game store that I help run in Reading, MA today and finally got around to taking a few pictures of the ever-expanding setup that we have built. With a little over one week left before I board the plane for Awesome Town and the Chicago LAN I am starting to get excited. 24/7 gaming, drinking, cussing and smack talking with 100 (we WILL hit 100) of my closest friends, can't go wrong there. My girlfriend and I got up at the crack of dawn this morning to meet up with some other members from the New England Arcade Collectors group to check out a warehouse that was run by Dan, a very nice gentleman who has been in the arcade business for close to 40 years. Dan is sizing down his warehouse space and was looking to sell of some of his stock, so my fellow coin-op enthusiasts ran down to see what was available. Dan is a stand up guy and was very gracious. Some of the folks from the group got some great deals.

Girls of War - Nice!

Last night we held our second monthly 2old2play Community Playdate with mixed results. Though we were able to get several rooms spanning multiple game titles going for the better part of two hours, the turnout was much lower than the event we held in June. This may simply be due to the day of the week that this event was held - we moved it from a Friday to a Tuesday night to accomodate folks who typically have family or other obligations during the weekends. It may also be due to the fact that the Chi-LAN is just around the corner and folks are getting geared up for that.
