Last evening, while checking out my Twitter updates, I came across a post from my friend Avatrix (twitter.com/avatrix) in which he talked about a feed that he was following called Frenzied Waters (twitter.com/FrenziedWaters). Apparently, this feed gave clues via GPS coordinates that would help to located evidence "capsules" that had clues regarding various shark attacks that have occured in the past. These capsules were distributed in various cities around the country, including Boston where I live.

Well, I had planned to post the finale to my tail of errant luck and descent into madness tonight. However, today was simply too good of a day to continue to dwell on the shortcomings of last week. For those of you who are still interested in the conclusion of my tale of woe, here is the Reader's Digest version of the rest of my week.

So getting back to part two of the story of my week in hell. When I left you last, I was headed home from RI and an incredible day of kayak surfing with my friends. So anyway, I get with a few miles of my exit off of I-93 and all of a sudden, the RPMs on my car start jacking up to 5K or more with the car in cruise control. I figure the CC is going on the fritz, so I disengage it and try to give the vehicle gas on my own. The RPMs continue to jack up and now the car will not engage the transmission.

Everything started out great, with a trip down to Rhode Island to hand with my friends, do some kayak surfing and consume beers and BBQ overlooking the ocean. I even got in a little fishing while down there. Before I get into the gorey details of the crappy part of the week, check out these pics from Monday evening.

My girl and I spent the day searching the NH Flea Markets for bargains and cool gaming stuff yesterday. Didn't find much, but did pick up a boxed copy of Resident Evil 2 for the N64 and an Atari All-in-one Joystick to add to my collection (already have two Namcos, Activision and now the Atari).

My girl and I went over to our friends' new house yesterday to celebrate the fourth with some beers and BBQ around the pool. The weather was amazing (for the first time in almost a month), the company was wonderful and it was good to simply be able to enjoy the day. Here are a few pics from festivities.
