Almost funny hearing you guys talk about this game. Parcells tried the San Andreas version on the original XBox and while I thought it was excellent and extremely hilarious (you've never played a game like this before - theme wise) like most games it didn't have enough SIM racing to keep my interest and of course Parcells sucks whenever a game challenges me to kill someone/something.
But that map does look, dare I say it, epic and all this talk of gangs will have Parcells considering this game when the price drops. I think I've matured enough to not pay full price for games I know I have zero chance of completing. If the 2O4F gang hasn't been run out of town if or when Parcells gets on board maybe you'll find me completely lost in the game but looking to gain some street cred. Then you could give me some menial task to rough up one of your low level street dealers whose been skimming away our profits (shame on OldSchool) but as tough as I think I am Oldschool proceeds to put a beating on me with his new set of Nike Irons he received from his recent endoresement having made the Senior PGA tour in 3 short months.
Then again, maybe I wont be getting this game.
That was so last week. Picked up a copy during lunch. Now to figure out how to cancel out of tonight's bridge game so I can start to check out my new territory.
That proved relatively painless. As I was drafting a sad story to send to my partner asking to be released from this evening's festivities she was sending me an email asking if I cared too much if we didn't play this evening. I took the high road and admitted I was thinking the same instead of laying a guilt trip on her.

Are the graphics like the videos gizzie? Also when you say big is it like they say GTA 4, SA and red together? Other thing is the clubs can have 300 members each lol
yes graphics are good, the map is huge some of it is still fogged over, still havent found a boat with scuba gear yet

I am snappy for now but don't let that affect your choice. I like how the clubs can be set out with 4 different levels of gang members from `The muscle` to the leader :-)

I am so glad you guys are also into this game. I sent a request to join the crew. GTA III is what got me into console gaming back in 2002. I played that game for countless hours. I have also played and enjoyed every GTA game since and also Red Dead Redemption. I played GTA SA to 100% completion at least 3 times. If you haven't figured it out, I really like the GTA series.
This is one of the few games I can play during my knee recovery. I already had it preordered anyway, but now it will be the main game I will be playing since I don't know when I will be able to get back into my racing cockpit. It will be nice to have friends I already know to be in a crew with.
I have a request. My daughter is also getting the game. She is 22 and already married so don't ask. Would it be possible for her to join our crew also? She is very good at these types of games.
Invite accepted. I won't be getting the game until Tuesday morning. I'm in no shape to go to the midnight release and both my wife and son will be working at that time. My wife will be picking up the game for me as soon as the store opens on Tuesday though. I wlll find out my daughter's social club info and let you know, probably later today.
