I don't think this means only on disc.  I think it means you can't buy only H1 digitally, or only H2 digitally, ETC.  It's all or nothing.

Yeah, probably that.

Dear Jamin, my old Forging buddy, I have yet to read about Forged map capabilities with the collection. I expect we would at least have to rebuild our favorite creation. I await further details.

I highly doubt there will be forge or theater.

at least now "Xbox Record That" will record anything.  Not from other angles though.

Good news. Frankie said on NeoGaf that Forge and Theatre are in.

The H2 remastered multiplayer on 6 select maps use a custom XB1 engine.

So all in all, many great things, some okay stuff and the old legacy stuff to fill in the blanks.

The best part for me is a unified Halo experience that should bring most people to XB1. Hopefully some of the MC Collection failings, and there will be more than a few, will not require moving back to 360 every other night.

The most important part of Halo is playing with friends. Can't leave any behind, if I can help it. I'll most likely host Halo on XB1 on Thursday nights but the Over Age 50 group may still be on the 360. Time will tell.

All sounds pretty sweet, but it won't sway me to switch to the Xbone earlier than I would have until I see that it all works like it should. I refuse to get sucked in by 343 again - the trust is broken!

Edit: PS my loadouts reset again, we should get free MS credits everytime this happens!!

Try deleting every bit of Halo 4 off your hdd. Then reinstall plus updates. I haven't had this happen and I go into campaign and SpOps with the new loadouts.

It's like your updates didn't work.

This sounds interesting short-term, but it sounds like you pick the map in the pregame lobby and then the game's physics change to the corresponding Halo?  That sounds annoying.  Surely there's a base physics selection.  Also, what about loadouts?  Those are only out there in the Halo 4 selection?  This all seems like a appetizer to the Halo 5 main course, but it may have some pitfalls.  Like we discussed earlier, the actual nuts and bolts of matchmaking and how it does will probably be different from Halo 5's, which smells like ready-made fragmentation.

In any case, we'll get a lot of time to see and hear the details as they get fleshed out.

it's a love letter to fans, and complete collection of the saga so far on one system in the best possible look.  No matter what happens, it's worth the money.

Here's to hoping that Amplified and Onslaught are made by 343 as well and don't need to get remade (again).

Deep, I agree.  One engine and set of rules to rule them all might have been best, but I suppose we have customs for that.  I completely expect the ability to set whatever physics rules to whatever map I want, too.

I worry about the physics and tricks between each one of the games if for instance a map for Halo 1, Halo 2 and Halo 4 shows up. The guns, weight and aiming all seem to operate a bit differently between the games. My old age has made it hard to switch between different physic engines in games on the fly like we sometimes had to during REACH and the anniversary maps.

I would have preffered one engine to rule them all for the same reason.

Hopefully Halo 4 will work better on XB1 than 360 so we can generally play it over the other games. Have to wait and see.

Not quite sure I will like the universal MM.  I prefer playing MM in one game, not selecting between options in multiple games in the lobby, but beside that --- can't wait!!
