Well that was a laugh as always! Knight, I know I has Been said before but what a great little series you have got going here. I am afraid that after my initial victory I am doing my usual of gravitating to my more natural habitat... The back of the field....

I went back after we had finished and used the controller rather than the wheel and was lapping a full second quicker than during the race but am going to stick with this damn wheel for another week. I suffer from inconsistency, plus a whole lot of speed and skill but it is still my favourite  event by miles.

So, till next time.

Just waiting for Fitzy to post now.

Also to the people who have not raced in this event yet you really are missing out. The racing is so close.

Take race 1. After 15 laps the top 4 drivers were within 300ft of each other.

Also can anyone remember the results from last weeks race as they are missing on the points sheet. If not i will look at the replays and take them from there.

LOL its a bit of a hallmark of this series that slight air of total chaos. It was closer again this week, I seemed to drop back at ther start and then hold station for the rest of the race battling away just to keep 4th in both races, but great fun. Back to a short track next week so that should be tight....Think I might turn damage off, what do the rest of you think? The sound of Fitzy bemoaning the state of his car would be gone, and that is always entertaining, but I think as PaulY is getting used to his wheel and JD is getting used to faceing the right waylaugh

Honestly, and I'm a part timer, so, weigh it as it is, but I didn't know we were running damage at Mugello until I heard someone mention it. There wa sa tad of contact on my car/with my car but it didn't affect my racing. I think the damage combined with these slower cars is a good learning experience for both the aggressors and the defensive driving.

And Fitzy eventually gets tired and just drives...

Yeah your right and that is why it was on in the first place...As you were folks, just take care and be aware of your surroundings and who you are close to.

Hello,

sorry for my "wrong way" at first corner, knight. I will check my replay to look after my fault.

I prefer racing with damage: It makes me "sensitive". And even with my not fluent english it was pure fun to hear "oooh my car is.... shit.... 80% front, 100% rear..... ooooh....slow.....". That is great live entertainment!

In an interview from TopGear Jason Button said after riding the DTM Mercedes Taxi:

"TG: It always amazes me how quickly you dial into a car you don't know, on a circuit you haven't raced at for 14 years...

JB: As a young kid you learn things very quickly and you carry that through. It's a racing driver thing. Three laps should be enough to dial you into the circuit and enable you to put in a good lap-time... if you know the car! We have to learn things very quickly these days, because of the way testing is now."

Now I am VERY frustrated. After 30 laps at Catalunya with that Fairlady - by the way: this lady isn't fair, she is .... like every other woman - I had one feeling: I can drive that car another 99 rounds and will never get a clean and - very important in racing - fast lap.

But as many others told before: This Fairlady Cup is fun. I wish, I would have more time for it.

Jörg Dankert - JDANKERT

PS: Uuups, this is an open forum, right? Anybody from outside can read my macho statement about woman, right? Hmmmmmm?!?!?!

PS-2: It's okay to call me JD! It is short and clear, but DANKERT is also okay. My first name in englisch? I don't know how to pronounce.

LOL I type JD because I am a slow typer...Yes we will keep the damage most of the races have been okay with it and it should make people careful. Yes the Fairlady can bite, but next week we are back to an easy track smiley Get a lesson from Cotter or Tourni Jörg, I did an hour with Cotter and that was enough to give me the tools to get faster. If you don't feel ready for that I would be happy to run a few laps with you and see what I can do.

Healy's in B or C class are sweet rides, and very manageable for back woods primitve RWD chariots...

Yeah I have a B class Healey that I put in a top 600 at the alps, such a relaxing engine purr. More I think about it more I like the idea. As you say it is very manageable. Was toying with throwing the Cortina in the mix too...But I like single series as it tend to make for the easiest way to get the closest racing.
