really looking forward to this one, I think it will be a great little series and close to, I will be missing round 3 as I will be away, but aim to make all the other races, well done Knight on putting this tpgether and working with us slower guys over the last few weeks.
Well the first race is also upon us. Due to the fact I have had no input with reference to handicaps or opportunity to try them out I have decided to run two races each week with the second race having a reverse grid. This may help even thing out and should ensure plenty of overtaking.

Yes today is the day the Fairlady Cup come to town. Two legs, 25 laps each and the second leg will be a reverse grid.
I expect clean racing, no last second suicide dives into corners and rear quarter nudges. This week damage will be set to limited.
We have all been looking forward to this, so respect each other, race clean, race fair and have fun.
This is a deceptively difficult track with this car, and push too hard and it's all slippey slidedy and tears before bedtime, so ease into the race, and all should be fine.
Well first race done and dusted, some fun and games...Knight gets awarded the first Numpty point of the series for nudging Cyber into the pit lane, he got his revenge in the second race so alls fair in Fairlady racing :-) Next week Mugello.
a pretty none eventful two races for me, trundled around at the rear trying to close stevie down, no luck and placed last in both races, however I enjoyed it immenseley, and maneged my fastest lap ever round maple in this car, starting on pole for second race was a bit daunting to say the least, and I decided let everyone through as I knew I was a full second slower, and it would have ended badley for someone if I'd tangled with them, I think I still had sunday Eusl in my mind, although Church holds no grudge for me taking him out, I just dont like spoiling peoples races, My driving has improved no end since being here, know I have to learn to race, a whole new ball game, but I think I'm getting there slowly, Hopefully I will be pushing a few of you along by the end of the series (wishful thinking LOL)

It was a bit funny Shadders when I said Iam on your right and you dived for the grass
Seriously though just race normal. A good driver will follow you for a while get to know where he can overtake you and do the job. If not so be it but dont just pull to one side like you was getting the blue flag at you.
Also ask knight. When he first started here he was getting lapped now he can go around pushing people in to the pits ect and coming second
I'm really glad your all enjoying it, starting my first series was a very daunting process and thanks to Pap for making it what it is. Having his tunes for each track makes life so much easier for us non tuners and everyone can just dive in and race.
Shadders it will come, and all of a sudden. Last season EUSL I was at best a mid runner, more often running at the back. This season I won the first race, and made my way from the back to third in the second.
The key for me was learning to run my own race, if behind rather than chase the car in front I just settle into my grove and let the car ahead come to me. Once ahead again don't worry about the car behind hold your lines and settle again. If I deviate from this, that is when I mess up. Either you are fast enough or not. If you are the race will come to you, if not then make sure you get the best position you can.
Patience is the second thing I am still struggling with. Plan your overtakes, watch the car ahead, don't close as fast as you can. Hold back a little and see where you are faster. Once you know, plan your overtake and set it up. Do or die dives into the inside of a corner often just end up in tears with two drivers relegated to the back.
I must get Tourni or Cotter to drop in another Saturday and do a session on overtaking, I know I could benefit from it. at the moment I tend to wait for a small mistake rather than set the overtake up.

You are accurate with that - You start planning your overtake when they are in sight and you are catching. Majourity of the time you will be sending a car down the inside or exiting a corner better than them. So it is important to know where you are going to be able to out brake them and make that pass stick.
No worries mate...I have taken to wiring mine up to a monitor sat on a chair next to me for those non driving jobs, seems as long as I am not actualy using the tv mine lets me get away with it,
Just done a few laps chasing Paps ghost...much mutterng of "how the hell does he carry all that speed through the first corner" 20 laps later I'm none the wiser. Get any number of corners wrong here and it's slippy slideyville. Should be a fun race

Seed times to be run on Maple Valley Reverse, they are to run done during any five lap stint and replays to be avaliable on your storefront.

LOL yeah like a startled rabbit looking for a hole to dive down, I must try not to panic when my mirrors are full of cars all waiting to mug me
Had fun but was well off the pace i realy need to start putting in the laps before an event

Knight,
Have you got the replays? Keen to relive my moment of glory!
P.
I only have the first race, I'm sure somebody got them both...I think Church might have done, Have a look on his storefront.
Some pics from race one
This battle went on for the entire race and into race two.
Tires squealed.
Sometimes positions changed.
Oh Church if you do have the races could you gift them to Spaz? never know we might get a mention on tORN
Nice tandem drift in the 2nd pic!
Not sure if Paps is just being funny or if this is one of those common times where people perceive something completely different?
Nice tandem recovery in the 2nd pic!
Replays have been sent + are on my SF.
Sorry about the delay but i have to get verification from the wife to turn X-Box on
