Some great races again last night guys, those Minis always entertain!
The general consensus was to start our impromptu Saturday night session at 8 EST vs. 7. Parcells should be on-line shortly after 7:30.
Great to have you on board last night IndyFan, you race very well…You’ve also set the bar pretty high for BlowMonkey Will you guys continue your recruiting efforts in the 2O2R group or should Parcells pay a visit over there…we’ve probably been missing out on this for some time now?
lol don't compare me to indy. When I raced him the other night it went something like this
Thanks Parcells - i had a blast. i had the mic on early on, but the battery died about halfway (wireless h/set.) we actually used to have our own weekly group in 2o2r when gt5 first came out, but it fizzled out. i'll tell those guys about this group. see u saturday.
hay Indycolt, I didnt realize you were already on my FL. I must have joined in with you guys from 2o2r when gt5 first came out. good to race with you again. greg
OK, who's responsible for allowing the GT5 thread to drop to the second page? Come on fess up I haven't got all day here, who was it?
For the really old or generally forgetful folks who can barely keep track of the day, here's your reminder tthat tonight is GT5 night. Tonight's special?....some sort of VW Golf Parcells threw together...mmmm yummy!!!
Just looked at the build sheet for tonights car. Looks great. Enough grip to be controlable at speed, but not vacuum cleaner sucking to the road grip. Track selection looks tempting too....
Agreed, Sheldon, some awesome battles and not just with the Ferrari. Parcells senses a regurgitated Renault Clio coming up next week unless someone gets to it before me. Most importanlty Parcells won Spa, that's really all that matters
Next weeks Renault Clio also drives on Rails and will surely be a blast. Certainly was the first hour of Thursday night past . Exact same build as last years race. I tried Race medium tyres but the car lost too much oomph so kept with race soft to extract all of the 320 HP this beauty has to offer.
Spreadsheet has been updated with next weeks car! Giddy up!
Parcells, for next Thursday, how about if we go wild and crazy and use the 2002 Chrysler Prowler which is available in the Online Car Dealership? I have a great build for it that drives well, and it looks great, even in cockpit mode. Its an upgraded standard car, where they upgraded the cockpit to be almost as good as a premium car. We can do some American muscle tracks, but the car drives much better than any of my previous muscle car builds.

As always Craig, if you build it, we will bring it, just place a note on the spreadsheet that its an on-line Dealership car so people know where to buy it and we’ll try to remind people tonight.
And to remind everyone that ANYONE who wants to build a car/track combo is more than welcome to do so, you just got to get your lazy butt off the couch and do it. In fact it be great to have someone other than me or Craig build these cars else we’ll continue down the path of Craig favoring a muscle car (garnering uncalled for harping from Parcells ), followed by Parcells building a 300-400 HP good handling car that has zero tuning options, rinse repeat.
Not that I’ll lose sleep over it because with a years worth of cars built up there are many cars we’ve already run that we’ve been rerunning in 2012 and if Parcells updates the spreadsheet you can bank on running something that I like so no worries!
Sorry I missed tonight guys. By the time I got on, you guys were already done.
I went ahead and posted the specs for next week's car. Its the Chrysler Prowler 2002, available in the Online Car Dealership. Its a great car. I think we will have fun with it.
At one point we did have 8 people last night but we had severe connection issues most of the early part of the evening, it was quite the headache. The Network must have been acting up last night.
That's a sharp looking car Craig, took it out last night and while it was totally gutless completely stock it was fun to drive. I see you've made up for the lack of power and grip so it should be a sweet drive.
Can pretty much guarantee I will be late arriving next week. Perhaps as much as an hour late but fully expect to make it.
This is what I get to deal with and perhaps in some part why we have no spec car this week…Below is a communication between Dan and I. Basically, I sent him the below email explaining what he needs to do to submit a car and his response is also below 100% verbatim. It was too funny not to share.
Dan’s reply (complete email)….” sp1 ferriie with everthing even wing”
My email to Dan…
Dan,
There is no spec car this week because the spreadsheet was not updated by 7:00 EST on Sunday…the arbitrary cutoff time I made cause most of our spec cars can be tuned so people need enough time to build and test the car so I made this cutoff time and am sticking with it so no spec car this week.
You want to build a car there are two ways for you to do that…
1) Access the spreadsheet and update it yourself…pretty simple to fill in.
2) If you’re unwilling or unable to update the spreadsheet then you need to send me the COMPLETE details of your car so I can fill out the sheet for you…and by this I don’t mean the half-ass crap you sent me the last time “car xyz, fully loaded” leaves too much open for interpretation and if you have specific tracks you want to run better list them else I’ll pick them for you and I hold zero responsibility for picking the wrong tracks.
You don’t need to tell me what is not on the car but you need to advise of ALL parts you installed…if you do not list a part (tyres are considered a part) I will not include it.
Don’t mean to be an ass about this but since I am an ass I have no problem with it…I’m going away this weekend so if you want your car for next week send me the details before Thursday else I won’t have time to update the spreadsheet.

lol don't compare me to indy. When I raced him the other night it went something like this
"speed.....corner.....wall" Indy waits for me.

)
Hey guys. I am out this week for a jury trial. there is a possibility I will be back in the saddle by May 10, otherwise, I will be back May 17.
Have fun without me!!
Thanks!
I'm back this week beeches! Brace yourselves!
We'll be ready for you Helios (maybe, maybe not?)
It's a GT5 Ferrari night fellas and of course Spa and Suzuka are in the mix and 2 laps of the the 24 Hr. Norschleiffe. Are you excited? I'm excited!
Just looked at the build sheet for tonights car. Looks great. Enough grip to be controlable at speed, but not vacuum cleaner sucking to the road grip. Track selection looks tempting too....
So sorry I will miss tonight.
Wow that was the greatest car ever !!! and some of the greatest races ever !!!
eh sorry you had to miss

Now that I'm back, I'll see about getting back to that Evo/STi build I was conspiring.
Guys, I will probably be late tonight, so please feel free to start the spec races without me.
Great car Parcells!!!

I'm going to be late tonight....stuck at work
What are we driving this week gentlemen?
Nothing lined up this week unfortunately. We'll figure something out. Mark and I will probably push for some sort of dirt racing no doubt?

WOW!!! LMAO!!
hmm... pretty sure ferriie translates as Ferrari
and "everthing even wing" I can parse as buy & install everything possible on the car
but the sp1 has me stumped ?
