Quick copy paste from my phone, will add the file once home. Attached is the 2014 Season 1 Schedule. Some notable items. We have done away with the three - four week rookie season format and will have a single twelve week season for both the road and oval rookie series. When the new build is deployed we will do away with the in season manual rookie promotions we have been doing and will now let rookies fast track to a D license once they have met their minimum participation requirements and achieved a safety rating of 3.0. There will still be a manual promotion service wide at the end of each 13th week. With a twelve week Mazda Cup schedule now going into effect we decided to eliminate the old Advanced Rookie road series and move the Legends Road Racing series into its place. There will be a new Ruf Cup featuring the C-Spec version of the car that will run at the C license level. There will be a change of cars in what used to be called the Grand Am series but will temporarily be called the iRacing World Sports Car Series. The Ruf C-Spec version will join the DP car. With IMSA entering a new chapter in 2014, so are we here at iRacing as we work with IMSA to create a more robust experience/opportunities for iRacing members in the online sports car racing space. Please stay tuned as we finalize the future of online sports car racing with our friends at IMSA. When the new build goes out we will be launching a Super Late Model Series. This will be a C License class series and will have full course cautions. There will be a new race series called the iRacing GT3 Challenge that for the first time will group different manufacturers into the same road racing class. The McLaren the Ruf track car will be in a single GT3 class. This will be a B License series. It should be a fun season of racing! Steve * Changed the Ruf Cup to be standing starts ** New Global Challenge schedule *** World Sports Car Series - 70 minutes races moved to 90 **** Updated IndyCar oval open and fixed schedule ***** New Grand Touring Cup schedule Filename Description 2014 Season 1 Schedule.pdf 2014 Season 1 Schedule Download File (131kb)

Like the sound of the gt3's. Just need to find some busy series as I only focused on Radicals last time which had a load of low attendance weekends leading to unofficial races (as well as bump drafting cheats lol) Learning to drive that V8 would be good too lol.

that was the issue I encountered in road cars for the past 2yrs. I bought a lot of content but could never find a lot of official races in cars I enjoyed.  Asides from the base content, the skippy and Mazda have good turnouts.  The Mazda is meh, but the skippy is a blast and has the ntm.  Shame about the radical I tried a series withit and could never find a race which was to ad cause the car was a blast. As for the gt3 I didn't care for the mclaren, the vette on the old tire was good but odd at times similar to the caddy, but after watching the isr review of the ruf it got me a bit excited :)

The RUF really is a lot of fun. I don't know what it is about me and Daytona, but I can barely run 10 consistent laps before turn 1 devours me. I've tried the DP, MP4, and now the RUF but I can't stay consistent enough to have the confidence to enter the 2.4 hours. One thing I did really like recently was finally getting a shot of the caddy after the ntm, was able to lap Bathurst no problem.

A very well done Indy promo was created by some community members

http://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=l-kp2k9VFtE&desktop_uri=%2...

i recently realized I had some iracing credits available from my past 2 seasons so I decided to renew my membership for 1 month as I was really curious how the ntm v5 applied to the majority of track cars would change things.  I took a few for a quick spin and from what I can tell it felt slightly better than before with a bit more grip and available detail but no night to day differences.   Here's a quick video by empty box regarding the latest updates one of the few guys In sim racing I enjoy watching reviews from him as he says it how it is for every title good and the bad :)

I will watch this video and give you my thoughts of what Empty Box says about the new build.  I subscribe to his channel and think he is cool, but he does a little too much whining for my taste.  For example, he recently did a 20 minute plus video regarding his displeasure that iRacing did the 2.4 at Daytona on the old build.  Boo fricking hoo.  crying  The 2.4 was awesome, even though it was on the old build.  The only car that ran in the 2.4 that got upgraded to the NTM v5 with the new build was the McLaren, which already was a great car to drive.  Empty Box is like a lot of iRacers, and really sim racers generally, we whine and whine and whine without sufficient recognition of how good it is to be a sim racer right now.  Yes, iRacing is not perfect, but if you like multiplayer sim racing, with good physics and FFB and races available 24/7, there is nothing better.  We also have rFactor 2, Project CARs, Assetto Corsa, GT6 and Forza 5, and a good variety of equipment options for each.  In summary, as Darin Gangi recently confirmed in one of his videos, there has never been a better time to be a sim racer than right now.

By the way, I have run extensively with the new build.  Other than the many outages that iRacing has had this week, this is clearly the best new build iRacing has released.  The Super Late Model is virtually perfect.  It has the NTM v 5, which means awesome grip.  It sounds and feels great.  It will still go around if you stomp the gas after or before the apex of the turn.  I plan to run an official race with it this weekend, but have already done dozens of practice laps and have enjoyed every minute.

The Caddy also got the NTM v 5 and an already awesome car is now superb.  It definitely has more grip and the problem with low speed spins has been fixed.  It also no longer has the issue where your fastest laps were on cold tires, which made no sense.  Several of the fast Caddy guys are complaining about the NTM v 5, most likely because they are not faster with it.  The point of better tire models is not to help the fast guys get faster.  Rather, the point is to help all sim racers better understand what the car is doing.  iRacing has definitely accomplished that with the Caddy.

I have not run them yet, but the Kia and the Radical also got the NTM v 5 and the feedback is overwhelmingly positive.

The lucky dog has arrived, which is awesome for oval racing.

There has never been a better time for be part of iRacing than right now.  smiley

Won't deny it wasn't a good update, a tire model that's actually starting to act like tire, some what 3d people instead of cardboard cut outs.  I wonder if they will be able to add that tech to the trees?

As there been any talk on the forum of having to adjust your wheel setup with the latest build?  The short time I tried a few cars I felt the wheel was extremely light and found the cars asses to come around with very little warning and once they start it's nearly impossible to save and usually results in a wild tank slapper :(

kia I felt was the best improvement it's no longer a tail happy fwd with marbles for wheels.  It was nice to see the z4 will be the next road car to come to us and donning ton has started!  What the hell happened to the civic and the 4 British tracks they announced 2 yrs ago?

Kurupt, I have had to adjust my FFB for each and every car that I have run.  For whatever reason, with the changes iRacing made to the build, the FFB settings went way down, meaning to get the same amount of FFB, without clipping and vibration, I had to greatly reduce the in-game FFB settings.

I too would like to see the Civic, but there is a lot of new content coming nonetheless.  We got the RUF and Auto Club during last season, we got the incredible Super Late Model with the new build and the BMW is coming soon.

I do not agree with you about the tire model.  Yes, the NTM v 5 is clearly the best tire model iRacing has had, but it also is the newest, just as Forza 5 has better graphics than Forza 4, GT6 over GT5, etc.  But that does not mean the older tire models were bad; rather, sim racing technology is advancing and iRacing is having to keep up with awesome competition from Assetto Corsa, Project CARS and rFactor 2.  I also would argue that Forza 5's tire model is comparable to the PC sims, including iRacing.

I am a total graphics whore and so the crowd graphics are a sore spot for me, but I hardly notice them in race, only during cautions and warm up.

It wasn't a bad tm prior to the ntm v5 but for a premier sim it was lacking a lot in regards to tire data that games of lesser quality were capable of implementing. Tire wear, multiple compounds live tire telemetry for monitoring and setting up your car etc. some of which still are not implemented.  For those that don't setup there owns cars it's no biggie but for tuners it's a trial and error game trying to figure out what works.  The one thing that always got me was iracing uses opposite values for tuning than other games which can be confusing at times.  Anyways none of these negatives have any impact on the overal feel and FFb which I've always said is one of the best if not the best....just would like a tad more grip and a better sense of speed :)

1000 iRacing credits would get you every car and track in the game because you would then qualify for the 30% discount.  Get those videos in guys.
