Yeah it don't feel right at all, I refuse to believe it is that hard to drive in real life, Like I said over the other forum, once there is some heat in the tyres it's better but still there is that driving on ice feeling. I been driving it around Brands, a track I know well, and can get around at a fair lick...not in this.

Ya it's not like any fwd car in other games that for sure.  From what I have gathered in the forum is its set up with lift oversteer which make sense.  But it almost drives like a rwd car with under steer and less grip....the limited tuning doesn't help either for that.  I wasn't using my headset and the volume wasn't too low cause I had the kids around which was more than likely distracting me from hearing the proper tire cues when braking.  Ill give it another go tomorrow and try for a race in the Kia on sat if iam comfortable...if not ill use the caddy I've able to get some good times in it I just need to figure out how to do it for 30 min :)

How is that proto type car ?

I did my first race in the Kia...started in 5th got a good jump off the line and was able to make it up to 2nd by the 2nd turn held that position for a handful of laps and started thinking which resulted in a spin out in turn 3 dropping me back to 4th where I finished....the last sector seems to be my nemesis seems iam losing a full sec there?

Not sure if any of you have the v8 but osr have a development league on Sundays at 11am iam thinking of entering before an attempt in the official iracing league next season

http://members.iracing.com/jforum/posts/list/3203637.page

if your still working on a team paint spartan a caddy or Kia paint will be fine I can't see my self running too many series outside the iracing global

Cool mate, just havent got a clue where to start with that thing.

As for the prototype, I love it.

It's alot of fun in the Grand Am league with the slower MP4's getting involved later too.

While I like the car.....that is a strange selection for iRacing.

Curious what kind of series they intend on fitting it into.

Maybe group the gt cars together and run it with the protos?  It doesn't really match with anything when ya think about it....more of a supercar class that would be matched with the likes of a zonda or ascari

Sorry but it's hate time again lol.

2 races on the bounce since the start of the season and im shunted from behind and having to be towed.

I was promoted to C class and thought this kind of crap would die down once your out of rookie.

But it's just as bad.

I wouldnt be too bad about it if I wasnt paying to use the flaming thing but thats another hour and a half of very limited time down the pan again.

Edit: being Scottish I hope you guys understand how difficult this was to post without being a wall of filth and profanities lol.

We understand and have all been there before bitching about the same stuff :)

if they dumped the membership fee I'd feel alot better about spending my cash on this game....sometimes it great sometimes it brings out the best rage in me llol every  time my membership renewal comes up it takes me a week to convince myself to renew.....maybe it's better know?  I've wasted far too much cash on sim racing I really need to find a select few I like, master them and stick with them rather than buying every game available

For the most part iam not overly too happy with the Kia I bought I feel the free caddy is way better in all aspects and should have just saved the cash an ran it I also bought the remainder road circuits for this season so I gotta keep putting in my weekly race finish the season get some credits than go from there if I wanna continue...all my games besides this one going into the next gen are paid for except rf2 I have to upgrade to the lifetime but ill hold off on that till some mods really interest me.

If you do two official series, one B or higher, one D or higher, per season, you will get the $10 credit at the end of the season.  Also, you get $5 for an entire year of membership.  If you extend your membership via the $50 promotions they run periodically, your membership fee ends up costing $5 out of pocket.  iRacing needs to charge a membership fee in order to finance the second to none online racing infrastructure.  Simraceway has shown us that charging outrageous sums for cars will not work.

Yeah as it stands I reckon I'll still be playing rf1 and race 07 for a long time yet.

pCARS, Rf2, assetto corsa, and the like simply won't be able to fit the needs for quite some time, and mods for the newer sims are going to take a lot longer to develop than those for the past generation.

im also wary of the pay to play sims now too, simraceway is about to go bust and to be honest, i feel none of them are safe.

I completely agree I almost wish they hadn't released all the betas to the public...such a tease for what's to come but at the same time so far from finished its hard to enjoy ATM.  Honestly iam having the most fun with race07 ATM today I did an 80 min race @ Okayama in the minis and it was an absolute blast...super friendly and of all skill levels by the looks of things they run club races tues to sat 8pm GMT and seem to draw 15 + drivers....I qualified 4 in the field dropped to last in the first lap :( and battled back to 4th with some excellent battles along the way

If iam correct I should be closing in my 1 yr soon and ill probably chip away in the vette at some series to get the d credit so hopefully come this season I should have some credits to put towards my next renewal :)

@ tartan racedepartment free to register than to join races you have to apply for a race license and agree to there race rules...also free

http://www.racedepartment.com/forum/forums/race-07-racing-club.44/ they also have a league but not exactly sure what's gaining on with it...they had a wtcc series and formula 1 but seems they jumped the gun early and wanted to switch to rf2 but realized there's nothing to run as a touring car unless one of there modders is working on something ?

It would be great to have a partner or 2 if anyone is interested !

I'm still completely addicted to iRacing and can't get enough of it.  It is the only game I play.  In the past couple of seasons I found a series that I like and can do well in.  That is the IndyCar oval series.  I started in the fixed series and later started running the open series.  At the end of last season I was asked to join a team.  Now I have access to some great training and setups that let me run at the front in the open series.  It has boosted my oval iRating over 4000.  It fell back below 4000 this week after a few bad races, but I'm still always in the top split.

I also like variety.  I still run a few official road races every week.  I had my first win in the Skip Barber Race Series on Monday at Road America.  The car got a new tire model this season and it is now a blast to drive.  If you have it and haven't driven it lately, try it out, you will be pleasantly surprised.

I am also in a Saturday night League that just finished a GT and Star Mazda series and is about to start an HPD and Radical series.  If anyone is interested, let me know.  The races are at 9:00 pm EDT on Saturdays.  The series run on alternate Saturdays, so if you only want to run one, it would only be every other week.

They are also having a Cadillac exhibition event this Saturday, August 17th at Mosport.  There will be two 25 minute races.  Practice starts at 8:00pm EDT with qualifying at 9:00 EDT.  First race at 9:15 and second race at 10:20.  If you are interested, let me know and I will get you more details.  It is a great bunch of clean racers of all skill levels.  I usually run mid pack.

I am in pretty much the same boat as Troy.  I simply cannot get enough of iRacing, and with the new recent build, the best ever IMO, it only has gotten more addicting.  I am running several NASCAR oval series.  I also run the Star Mazda open wheeler series and the Global Challenge series, usually with my favorite car in sim racing, the Cadillac CTS race car.  IMO, iRacing is simply the best sim for me.  I have been working a lot of long days this past week, but because iRacing has racing around the clock, I usually can get a race in after I get home and the kids are in bed.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$ :)

I have to agree the caddy is one of my favorite, I wish I had of saved my self the cash with the Kia and just ran the caddy in the series.

i feel overall iracing is a great product minus the cost and some frustration, but currently none of the car content (caddy aside) interests me enough to justify the cash.  Iam a euro touring/gt content fan.....if they could land licenses with the wtcc/btcc and Dtm as well as have more available cars within a class I'd more than likely be just as hooked as you guys :)

I love f1 but can't drive them worth shit and the rest of the open wheelers I really have no knowledge or interest in them, maybe ill grow a liking to them after next summer my brothers and I are going to do a 2 day race experience @ mosport running a skippy version and junior Indy cars :)

i actually had more fun than I thought I would running the oval cars, but again it wore off due to my lack of interest in the rl series

iam glad you guys get that rush from it and thats the whole purpose of  we each have our own favorite sims...run what u enjoy!   ATM it just doesn't have what I want just like rf2 another great game just no content of interest yet.  Iam more happy running an overal decent game with content I love than drive stuff I don't on a better platform

iam like you guys with work, I do midnites sun -wed and watch 2 kids during the day so my gaming time is minimal so I don't get to run hardly any series with the gbr guys at night.  Luckily I realized racedepartment uk runs daily races and leagues on a ton of games at 2pm my time works out well for me and for the most part it's stuff I like so I've been jumping in with them the last few weeks and really enjoying it :)

maybe the wife will give me a Sunday morning off in the future and I can jump in with you ....see if can continue my winning streak ;)

So I have joined Iracing ! For now I'm using my lap top with a HDMI from it to my HDTV just until I finish my PC build. So graphics at this time are MEYH ! I do like how the wheel feels never new my wheels had that much FFB ! I just signed up for a month trial . I guess for now I will just do test laps with the cars that I received with the subscription and maybe run the mazda cup race just to get my D license. So much to learn on this sim . Any help on tuning would come in handy . Can tunes from another iracing member be gifted to a other iracing member? Thanks for any information.

Ink, send me a PM with your iRacing name so I can send you a FR and an invite to our GBR iRacing group.  We have plenty of great races in a relaxed environment that we put on every month.  It would be great to have you join us.

iRacing requires the use of your real name.  If you want to see how that is listed, just go to members.iracing.com, enter your email and password and your real name will be listed in the top right hand corner of the screen.

Anyone with a current subscription able to post up the new season events and the week 13 build chanelog I let my subscription out so I can't review any of iracing forum links ?

I read about a possible gt3 series but also saw on Facebook that the BMW z4 that was to be claimed as part of the series won't be joining iracing till later this summer so iam bit confused?

Also hoping the ntm makes it on to the older road cars and I might renew my subscription, I've heard good reviews about the ruf and the new road warriors series looks interesting :)
