I see your point, but here's something you need to consider on Kinects behalf. It came out late in the consoles life, it was sold both individually and in a bundle. But there was no guarantee that it would be profitable for devs to include developing for it if only a small percentage of Xbox owners have one, therefore not advantageous to code for it. Now with it being bundled in every Xbone they are certain the tech is in each home, which makes coding for it more realistic and profitable to use it. Even if it's for the voice commands only...

True all, but it doesn't guarantee anyones gonna like it. I know that's a smart ass answer, but I'm looking at my kinect that hasn't been used in months...maybe longer.

I do get and even like the voice commands, and realize the soft/hardwares advanced, just don't like not being asked mostly. Not a huge issue.

As for the games thing Azures in his own world, where I'm sure his opinions popular. My boy and I both saw many games we liked on the Box, and he wasn't terribly impressed with the EA offering, it was the other stuff he jumped at. I'm not into zombie games too much, but that one caught my eye.

Spark caught my eye too. I see it as a game like Minecraft, as in, you jump in and literally decide what you want to do.

Sunset Overdrive was very appealing to me as well.

I have both a kinect and a at station move. Do you know how many times I have used them over the past year? That answer is zero. I would have preferred if ms made the kinect optional to keep costs down.

One other design problem I think the PS4 will need to fix - the spacing around the front USB ports.

the 2 usb ports in front are recessed and there is not much free space vertically around them.

some of the 3rd party usb items like controllers, usb hubs, keyboards, guitars, racing wheels, memory sticks for game saves,

etc have fairly "fat" usb plugs that may not fit into that recess.

not a deal breaker but designers should have put those ports on the bottom like the PS3s where there is more clearance.

Final Fantasy 14 is an mmorpg.  It already released on PC, and failed.  They then restarted development to change it.  That's why it is called a realm "reborn", because its their second attempt at the game.  It requires a monthly subscription fee to play.

who are you replying to?

FFXV is not FF14.  We're talking about the PS4 here.

I was not replying to anyone.  I am now though.  I was sharing information about PS4 - Final Fantasy 14 is confirmed by Sony as heading to it in addition to PS3 and PC which were already announced.

I know it isn't 15.  This is a different game.  I was just sharing information that people might want to know.

The game is even in the infographic up there.

Nah Shadow, no worries.

What do you guys think of World of Tanks being console bound?  I tried it on PC, but didn't care for it.  Its free to play, but microtransactions abound if I remember right.  It might be a big deal to some gamers, but for me it was a shrug.

It should be noted about Diablo 3 that while its confirmed for Xbox 360, it isn't confirmed for Xbox One.

IGN didn't seem too sold on Spark with their hands on time.  They felt it was more interesting to create, but complex enough to eliminate kids.  They thought it was less interesting to actually play compared to the creation though.

This may seem awful, and I feel bad for saying it, but I expected more from Bungie.  I realize there's a ton to their game, and while they showed gameplay.. I dunno.  Hopefully its just difficult to really show it off during that timeframe.  I guess I'm more disappointed in the reveal than the game you could say.

Honestly I don't see a single Xbone exclusive worth buying even if they did lift all the restrictions on the console, which of course they wont. While the PS4 has KillZone, Knack ( which looks amazing! ), Infamous,Kingdon Hearts, FF and the order 1886 looks cool as well...need to see a bit more about it to make a decision. Not to mention that the PS4 will not be region locked so you can add all of the Japanese titles for Sony as well.

What are the Xbone's exclusives? Halo? Dead rising and some Kinect games? Personally I think PS4 has the better exclusives, but even if they didn't it doesn't matter. Most of the franchises will be multiplatform and PS4 has the superior hardware and no restrictions on the game ownership. That's worth the price of admission right there. Not to mention that thier subscription service is cheaper and gives you more games than Xbox live.

You posted the exclusives.  That's what they are.  You can care about them or not, but that's your own tastes - doesn't mean they don't exist.  Nintendo has as crapload of exclusives I'll never want to play, as does Sony, as does Microsoft.

And seriously "Halo, Dead Rising and some Kinect games?".  You say Autarch tries hard.  There are many exclusives there and only one is a Kinect game.

Hardware difference is negligible between One and PS4.  Won't be noticeable.

But the question is why do I need voice commands? Is it really that hard to push a button?

It makes signing in quicker and easier too - especially since you don't have to recover a gamertag by entering your email and password for other people sitting there to see.

I do wonder about identical twins though.

What did the Forza people think about that segment?

I'm terrible at those kinds of racing games, and don't play them, so I can't really comment.  I'd like to hear what people who do play them thought though.

Forza excels at NOT telling you anything and drawing it out over a seemingly impossible amoun tof time up until release.

What I did see I liked. What has been announced sounds great.

But the biggest thing on most minds is this, show me the tracks. We want MORE tracks.

Open wheeled cars announced and many other goodies, but we haven't seen a lot yet.

While I might not use any motion control that comes with a game, if I can use a radio via voice command to tell my command center about something I found in an area. Like Batman talking to Alford back in the Batcave. I'd use it because it's very immersive..

Thanks for the Forza insight.

Well, its now Day 1 of E3 and there will be games showcased in more detail through the day.  There's still room for devs to announce games that didn't have a huge stage to do it on yesterday.

CCP is one I'll be interested in hearing from.

3PM PST has more Destiny coverage.

Still room for games to be announced and more gameplay to be shown.  The hands on coverage from both PS4 and Xbox One will be interesting too.

Silly me thought the purpose of games was to have a little fun.

You have the choice not to support publishers that pull dumb shit. With the xbone it's deep rooted in the system, you're not getting around it. I don't really see much difference to how it is now with online passes and such.

I could be wrong, but didn't I read somewhere that 3rd party publishers have the choice wether or not to add drm on the xbox one as well or is that a requirement for them?  If it is a requirement...is that something they have to code into the game and if so will they make drm & drm free versions ot just say screw it and make it drm all around in their games?
