If you game with me, then you learn two facts pretty quickly:  1) I prefer cooperative to competitive multiplayer, and 2) I fucking hate the Call Of Duty series. Strangely, as deep as my hatred flows (I am a VengefulJedi, after all), I still own them all. They just don't capture my interest long enough - in fact, Black Ops was the only story campaign I've finished. The games are just fucking maddening to me. Anyway, before I start completely going off, I do have a purpose.

All I can say is, it's about fucking time EA let up a little...

I'm just curious to see what you guys think about this. I believe that if this does happen, it will come from Sony & not Microsoft. Given piracy measures already used by Sony (even on their DVD's) and patents they'd applied for in recent years, I can see an attack on used games being Sony's next move.

I thought this was an awesome, albeit brief, article.

The AbleGamers Foundation, an organization focused on providing disabled peoples with information and technology that allows them to more easily enjoy video games, has awarded Star Wars: The Old Republic its 2011 Accessible Mainstream Game of the Year Award for launching with "colorblind friendly options, full subtitles, and control options to let those with mobility impairments play the game as easily as possible."

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is one of my company's observed holidays, so I'm here in the office, working on my day off. I can't complain, though - I get holiday pay, and my alternate day off is tomorrow. It was a nice run:  Thanksgiving week, Christmas Day, New Years Day. Guess the luck couldn't last forever.

I've encountered one minor drawback in my time spent playing SWTOR, which has nothing to do with the selling of my soul (which was dirt cheap, given I didn't actually pay for the game or the graphics card). For the last couple days, I've had pains in my mouse hand. I have a couple thoughts on what the root cause is:

* Carpal Tunnel
* Not used to PC gaming & I'm overdoing it
* The gods are punishing me for selling my soul.

I walked the fields through the fire
Taking steps until I found solid ground
Followed dreams reaching higher
Couldn't survive the fall
Much has changed since the last time
And I feel a little less certain now
You know I jumped at the first sign
Tell me only if it's real

Between birthdays, dental work and time visiting with family, I haven't blogged much this month. I just wanted to wish all a safe and happy Thanksgiving, whatever you may be doing.
