I'll be the first person to admit that, sometimes, I'm just not right in the head. One of my little "eccentricities" is naming my devices (like some guys name cars or boats). My Xbox 360 is Sheila (after the Tank AI in Red vs. Blue), my PS3 is Wendy (for no particular reason), and Christine is my recently-departed PC. In keeping tradition, I've already chosen the name of my PC-to-be - Duncan. Project Duncan is the (continuing) process of building my PC.

Hey guys, I hope you're all doing well. Just wanted to update you guys on a couple of current events...

I wanted to wish each of you all the hope, wonder and joy that the Christmas season can bring. May it also grant you some glorious game time.

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know I'm still alive. I kinda dropped below the radar again, but I needed to. Thanks to you guys (Jones, Ian, BJ, etc) who made sure I didn't slip through the cracks. Anyway, I've mostly just been keeping busy. My mom was recently in the hospital & rehab facility, but she's home & recovering well. In fact, today is her birthday, so here is a shout out - Happy Birthday Mom! May the Force be with you always! I was also occupied with my Podcast, which has been going well. I'm finally feeling comfortable in my own skin, as they say.

I've learned in life that sometimes you need to distance yourself to see things clearly. For the most part, this was my last couple weeks - but it was for the best. Sometimes it's necessary to let the life lessons sink in. First, a special thanks to Outcast & BJ, soon-to-be partners in crime, for keeping me sane. A couple weeks ago, my sister found out she lost her baby. As much as we were all looking forward to welcoming a new addition, this experience reminded us to value what we do have.

The last few days have been a time of reflection. I'm not the same man I was nine months ago - or I am, but finally in the right mind to say "Fuck you, World" and start coming into my own. What I thought was an ominous dark cloud overhead, was basically my inability (previously) to recognize or pursue greater things in my life. I'd downplay the positive things & allow myself to stay depressed. Well, lately, things have been picking up, and I'm feeling pretty fucking good for the first tme in a while.

Sometimes, when I find myself bored at work, I create Top Lists. Here is my most recent creation...

Yesterday, a game developer came into my job to show off & demo their upcoming title. It's a little project they called SAINTS ROW IV. I played it approximately a half hour, and I can say this... it's fucking awesome. I've had limited exposure to the other entries in the series, but I could see myself playing the shit out of this.
