At a teacher inservice this morning, a buddy of mine leans over and shows me a new app he downloaded. If you are a zombie fan (and even if you aren't), check out Zombie Booth. It is free. Basically it takes a picture from your phone and turns that person into a zombie. Touch the zombies mouth and it eats your finger. So if you are like me and need to kill a few minutes, check it out. I have been asked to coach an 7-8 year old all-star baseball team for our town.  This year, they have decided to enter a team in the Little League tournament.  The town has never sent a team before for this age group.  Basically there are four teams in our distict.  We win three games, we go to the state tournament.  Sort of a big deal.  Not sure who watches the Little League World Series but back in 2001, a player by the name of Danny Almonte pitched his Bronx team to a third place finish.  The problem was, Danny was too old.  They had lied about his age.  Fast forward to today, Little Lea

My boys are all about baseball.  Since they could walk, they have played baseball.  Tonight, I found something my oldest is even more excited about.  My oldest son's best friend started banjo lessons a couple of months ago.  My son decided he wanted to try the guitar.  The guitar is something I have always loved and have tried it myself and I am just not musical.  My son went to his first lesson today and I have never seen the kid this excited about anything.  He just played me Amazing Grace and I could actually make out the song.  Looks like I will be buying a guitar in the near future.

About 5:45 this morning, my stupid ass dog starts barking in the basement.  I have a black lab that I bring in at night and sleeps in a crate in the basement.  Now its not unusual for him to bark in the morning but through the summer, he usually doesnt start barking until 8:30ish.  I figure he will settle down so I sleep on.  Then I hear this tapping noise.  Now since school has been out, I have been sleeping until 8-9 every morning and at 6 in the morning, I am not functioning that well.  Finally the wife rolls over and says, that somebody is outside.  So I throw on some clothes and head o

I am having the driveway paved next week.  Main reason, to give my boys and myself a place to play some basketball.  I have been looking around for a goal but I am having trouble finding anything.  I don't want to pay a fortune but I don't want junk either.  I want to go inground.  Anybody bought a goal recently?
