So close...

I was 2 rolls of a warthog out of the finals for the first stage. I won the first two races and then fell from 1st to 3rd in a freak hog roll to land in the losers bracket. I won one in the losers bracket and then lost trying to get into the final.

Still, I think I represented better than I thought I would.

Looking forward to doing some version of this with OMM in the future.

Before the race...

Havent done one of these before, but this seemed like the right place to put my writeups, since I think outside folks can get to our blogs. Maybe not, Ill find out soon.

So, I was visiting http://halo.bungie.org and saw that the Tied The Leader clan was holding a set of warthog races. I knew of TTL from many of the blog posts that their leader XerxdeeJ has used to discuss the state of Halo2 gaming and fair play. I dont think they have the age reqt that we have, but these guys seem to be OMM

More boarding....

Another fantastic day of snowboarding in the mountains of Colorado!!!  Took off work today so I could take my 16 year old son up boarding at Breckenridge.  It was raining all along the front range as we made our way up the mountain.  The rain turned to snow only about two thousand feet up from the city and the roads became pretty dangerous.  It took us an extra 45 minutes of drive time.....or should I call it "crawl" time.  Saw at least one roll over and lots of off road crashes on the way up.  Thats pretty typical for snowy weather up here.  The mountain was great.........there were places on

To change or not to change, that is the question.

I have been offered a job, with a different company to do what I was once trained to do in the Army.I was trained to be a diesel mechanic when I served for a little while, and when I got out noone would hire me because of the fact I wasnt ASE certified or didnt have my own tools. Now I have a job offer to go back and do the job I once trained for. Then on the other hand I also have this my current job at a printing company that isnt paying worth a damn, but I like the work......sometimes.I once made some good money for the printing company, but since I went from working nights to working days I

Oh...Crap....

So last night while wathcing tv, I noticed something in the bottom left hand corner of my tv...It was faint but I noticed it...It appeared to be a circle with a bar looking thing on top of it. I changed channels a couple of times to see if it would show up on other channels, and it did on some, but not on others...It only really appeared on channels showing something white or very bright..Then it dawned on me what it is...

The Metro at 2:00 A.M.

So last night I get a text message saying drinks tonite and since I had a crappy week I decided what the hell. We start out at The Wild Goose to get some $2 nachos and they
got better the more we drank. We then go to The Gingerman to meet another friend who just got out of work and play some pool. Well as closing time came and we left the bar
We see a some people saying they they need help to pull a prank on their boss at the Metro, they wanted to put his car right infront of the entrance to the Metro. So like any
other drunk fool at 2:00 a.m. we helped out.

Still more work to do

About 8 months ago I was given an Asteroids machine. It was my uncles and hasnt worked for years. The game worked but no video. He called the local coin-op repair guy and it would have cost too much for a home user to repair. also since vector monitors arent really made anymore it isnt like you can go get a new one. I did a little research on the internet about the problem. I found out it is pretty easy to fix if you arent afraid of discharging a monitor.

Heres a galery of pics

WoW steals money

For the 4th time I have canceled my service with World Of WarCRAP and these bastards keep charging my CC. Since their service dept. is essentially one stoned 18 year old I cant seem to make them stop. What happened to service in America? Why cant i just speak to someone that can actually DO SOMETHING for me? So yet another 47.99 has been sent off to the WoW ether without my consent. Fuck Blizzard, Fuck WoW, and Fuck Service Desks. Thanks is all.

Imagination

I was just thinking about when I was growing up, we lived in an extremely small rural community where there was one broken caution light and one general store that you could go buy a "Cokie" Cola and moon pie and a few grocery type items.  We had a television, but it only picked up three channels and other than that there was no other ready made entertainment.  So, my brothers and I had to entertain ourselves.  We would do the usual cops and robbers sort of stuff, but being 5 years difference between each of us, they outgrew this make-believe entertainment well before I did.  So, I learne
