Well, I finally have time this morning to post some pics from our Retro Gaming Party from this past Saturday. You've seen the BBQ, now check out some of the video gaming madness that went on after everyone stuffed their face with Ribs, Beer-can Chicken and loads of cold beer.

Today, I must say goodbye to my friends Magali and Cedrick. They have been visiting us from France and will be catching a plane to DC to spend time with family and friends there. I have enjoyed their company immensely and it is hard for me to see them go. I would like to thank them both for spending time with my girl and me and helping me to remember what is most important in life - friends and good times.

Where is Awesome Town you ask? Chicago! The LAN is coming up in August and you need to make your way there, whether you are a repeat attender or a newb, you will not want to miss the shenanigans that go on at the LAN.

Here a few highights from my trip to Awesome Town in 2007 (I missed the 2008 LAN - something that will NEVER happen again).

Where is Awesome Town you ask? Chicago! The LAN is coming up in August and you need to make your way there, whether you are a repeat attender or a newb, you will not want to miss the shenanigans that go on at the LAN.

Here a few highights from my trip to Awesome Town in 2007 (I missed the 2008 LAN - something that will NEVER happen again).

I woke up at 3am this morning with my dog unable to walk and my girl unable to sleep. My pup, Nygel, who is now 12 years old, has diabetes and has to take insulin twice a day to keep his sugar in check. This morning, he was unable to walk or even really keep his head up. I was terrified that it was time to say goodbye to him. You have to understand that this dog has been in my life longer than both my niece and nephew combined. He is an incredible soul and one of my best friends, next to my girl. Not sure what I would do without him.
