Well, some of you (ok, maybe one or two at least), may have noticed that I have not been around much since my last post. Shortly after my BBQ and game day in celebration of my birthday, our home computer began to act up and has now officially been prounced dead, deceased, non-living. It is an ex-computer at this point. Either my power supply or mother board has bitten the dust. As the machine is over four years old, I suppose that I cannot complain too much.

So today (techically at least as it is now 12:30 am) we will be celebrating my 42nd with the third installment of our "Kickn' It Old School" video game party. The ribs have been in the beer marinade for 48 hours, I have 100 Wellpoint Oysters ready to steam and many friends planning to join us to help me celebrate. My girl even made me a homemade cake with Robotron icing (She Rocks!). So stay tuned for pictures after the event and join us if you can. I live in Woburn, MA, so if you are anywhere near the area and would like to join us, send me a pm and I will shoot you directions.

So I picked up my 3rd coin-op cab today, a Ms. Pac-Man "Frankenstein" cab. Basically, someone took a Ms. Pac-Man board and placed it inside a Taito cabaret (mini) cab. The game currently coins up but plays blind (no video on monitor). The guy I got it from claims that it worked fine prior to a recent move. I need to clean it up and investigate to see if I can get the monitor to come on. I would love to have this thing playable by Sunday for my next Video Game BBQ party. Anyway, below are some pics.

Been crazy busy with work and trying to line things up for the 2old2play/SFX_360 pre-PAX_EC event here in Boston and have not been online via my 360 (except to watch videos late at night) for some time. I have been putting in 1 - 2 hours of practice a day on Robotron in my quest for a world record and my marathon game continues to improve. My most recent high-score is not at 1,636,775.

Look quickly before I get pushed off the front page over at Twin Galaxies - www.twingalaxies.com/ I am currently ranked 18th in the world on Robotron in Marathon Mode. I am also currently 17th in Tourmament Mode (5 lives, no extra men). Not bad for just about a month of practice. As you have probably figured out by now, I am rather addicted to the quest for a World Record.
