LMAO. That's the best review I've read since the $1,000 HDMI cables on bestbuy.com.

This was the next best thing to finding an Xbox One today. That was a great laugh.

MS reporting XB1 sells through 1,000,000. http://news.xbox.com/2013/11/xbox-xbox-one-momentum-announcement

#348 Thanks for the kind words, everyone. I love reading how people are enjoying the system. As for the numbers, as people have said it's great for the industry (after all the reports of the "death" of consoles) to see the sheer amount of interest and excitement with consumers and the media over this. It's really amazing. Sony chose a different path for launch, so an apples-to-apples comparison is impossible. We had X number of units to sell and we chose to launch in all our launch territories. Sony had X number and chose to focus on North America. Neither was better than the other. In this circumstance, comparing our US number vs. their US number would be like comparing our UK number to their UK number. They don't have any in the UK yet, so it's not a fair comparison. Both consoles I think will be hard to get through the holidays. And I love how "yield issues" is still a thing. What was the precise number we needed to make for that to go away? There were no yield issues.

Party Chat seems to be borked... keep getting 'cant turn on chat right now, try later'...  WTF is that about ?!

Its probably the network breaking in, I wouldn't worry about it.

in 6 hours, I have downloaded and installed in full:

Update

Netflix, Skype, Skydrive, Xbox Music, Xbox Video, uPlay, Twitch, Bluray Player, Youtube, Upload Studio, Audio Cd Player

Forza 5, AC4, Killer Instinct Ultra Ed (KI and KI Classic), and Xbox Fitness

Currently starting the BF4 download.  So, if anyone was thinking it would take them days, it doesn't.  As long as you have average cable internet (I have 20Mb/s)

So far so good got installs done and set up finished. PLayed BF4 and FIFA for a short while and both worked seemlessly.

Kinect doesnt seem to respond to me though even simple commands like "xbox on" "xbox off" dont seem to register. Anyone know whats going on there?

In other news, there were TWO paper bags from Gamestop, one ingeniously placed inside the other for extra strength. I chnage my review from 4/10 to 8/10 for bagness.

Make sure you turned that option on.  I forget where it is but I had to verify that I wanted the Kinext voice command for on and off.   I'll see if I can find it and post.   I have had just a few  issues with the Kinnect not understanding Okie "Xbox Ya'll turn off now"  for some reason it just doesn't work :)

One of ours in Forza has reported his kinect dead out of the box. I hope it's not simply an enabling option?

Isn't it amazing that they can advertise, bragging about their "online community", how they grew and nurtured it, how large and amazing it's become, and then pinch out this turd?

What happened to testing, verification, test groups, beta testing? And IF all this was done, I'd love a peek at their process maps on it. 53

Just in the Forza forums, it's massive grumbling about trying to get into party's, and even worse, it appears you have to get into the party to get invited into a lobby. The there's the inconvenient fact that lobbies are 16 player capable but party's are only 8, so do that math...all sorts of online community stuff for Forza removed, no ability to directly share, no car clubs, all kinds a crap left out by a time crunch OR deliberately. I'm optimistic when I say I hope it was the forced timing of the release and not deleiberately left out, and rereading that makes me sad in itself.

if growing pains these be, they be massive indeed.

I think each system wanted to beat the other one out of the gate, even if that meant having a bunch of features not available yet.

Serious question. Would you guys rather have a system with everything available at launch but buggy as hell/not working right, or have it like it is now, a working system with many features coming at a later time? And yes, I know the ideal answer is a completely working system with all features at launch, but that's not the question ;)

Looking at what the 360 and XBOX Live were and what they are now, I have no worries over the initial hiccups.

Everything advertised should work day one and not be a bug fest.  Would you pay full price for a new car but the car only goes down the road when you get it .?  All the desired features coming later or being fixed later.  To me it walks a fine line of breaking the law .

Gonna say it anyway, I 'll take C....(any John Boy and Billy fans out there?)

Apply this to any other product in the free market and ask that question again. Try I dunno, a car, refrigerator, a PC even, oh wait, there was Windows 8...

And keep in mind, as aggravated as I am, I WANT a damn XBone...already bought an LCE game for when I get it. Seems like as I get older, the bar just keeps getting set lower...

I figured out why voice recognition wasnt working. It hasnt been localised for Ireland yet. All I did was change my country to UK now it works fine.  I don't even have to say "xbohx. tuhn ohn". Cool!

Everything else is working great for me. I havent tried chat. Is 360 to bone chat possible?

Downloading Killer Instinct now for free.

@Yem - still dont know what your question is.

@Deep - mentioning tokens is like turning the knife...it raises other more infurious points of debate/greed.

DEEP, you seem like a decent chap so let Parcells give you some advise...some times it is possible to be just a little bit too honest. Trust me I know this.

Can it, DEEP.
