Can someone post there graphic settings for this game if you are running triple monitors with one high end graphics card. I'm trying out the demo and want to be sure I like it before I purchase the complete game. Thanks!

HDR has had a lot of work done, but not yet hit the public build, soon come. As for settings, reflections are a frame rate killer, and shadows, as you are ATI and I am Nvidea, My settings may not work for you, the trick is put every thing on max, and see where you are with say 15 cars on track. If frame rates are too low for smooth racing drop back reflections, then shadows. If these still don't do the trick, then drop details, It is a balancing act that is very dependent on individual systems, what works for one, may not for another. HDR is quite heavy on FR. Particle effects can be a problem for some, if you experience a bad drop is performance when there is a lot of tire smoke, drop that back a notch. I do not run the highest resolution, 4xxxX9xxx rather than 5xxxX1200 Visually hardly noticeable but allows some extra headroom for eyecandy. One thing is dropping setting down a notch here and there do not have a huge effect on what you see, but low frame rates make a huge difference to how it feels

Takes a little time, to get right and sometimes a heavy track needs the settings tweaking down, and a light one can be tweaked up. There has been some good optimizations done in the last couple of months and certainly the next build brings some nice improvements.

If you have Teamspeak I would be happy to meet up and talk you through stuff. It can seem complicated at the start, but soon enough you will be happy enough to tinker.

I will try these settings too since I know have a HD7970 running triples. Can't wait to see rfactor2 and all it has to offer graphically.

Remember graphics are not it's big strength, I may be one of it's biggest supporters round these parts but while it has improved quite a lot over the last year...that is not what I love about it, it's the feel, real road, time transitions, physics and ffb. just the best in class, others may argue, but that is my opinion.

In other news I see the Lola T280T from Pixsim has been updated http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/17287-Lola-t280, I find this a fun car to drive, loads of power, great sound and looks lovely, especially in triple screen, seeing the reflection slide across the hood is well cool.

Yeah I know that the graphics aren't GT6 or Forza 5 quality but I've upgraded my entire PC so I just want to run it at its max settings and get the best out of it. For me the graphics are secondary, its the phsyics I really enjoy.

That is why over on reddit, if new people ask what sim to get I tell them to get rfactor. Date graphics but all the mods are free and the physics are hard to beat.

It's been a while since I found an honest review for rf2 by any of the review gurus and felt this was very informative and gave a good insight of all the ups and downs of the game.  None of which I can really argue with.

Personal opinion....... The engine for this title is so powerful and capable of so much more than any of the titles out there, the downfall is isi small team and at the rate it's being developed and the lack of official content due to funding and hoping the modding community will pick up the void....unfortunately mods lead to issues in many cases as we ve all found and is why I support official content.  Ultimately what I would love to see is isi do what they do best.....develope engines than sell the rights to bigger dev teams that have more funds, develope at a quicker rate and are better at massaging the engine to get the most out of it.

What is HDR? I keep hearing this and see the check box but no idea what HDR is or what it stands for.

I am done being frustrated by rFactor 2.  I bought it over two years ago, and yet it still is not ready to reliably host any online series using third party mods and perhaps it will never be ready.  We do regularly run our F1 series on Sunday mornings using primarily ISI official content and that is going well.  So, no complaints here.

If I am correct it's high dynamic reflections which enhances the lighting/reflections/shadows

HDR stands for High Dynamic Range and is to do with Luminosity, that is why when it is over done on the white you see blooming. As for the vid  I'll take a look at it when the TV is not blaring.

Kurupt any one that wants to buy the engine can, just an email to the devs and the deal can be made. Any mod I mention has been tested and run online, so they are fine. Any mod you have issues with tell me! I can do nothing to help if I don't know what the problem is or even if there is one.

How does one install race series . Im have a hell of time trying to install cars or tracks .  The only way I can download tracks or cars . I go to the multiplayer section and download the mods but now i get ten of the same car with just different paints . So next question how do i remove duplicates of cars. Lastly what does it mean when i drive a car and the car only revs to a certain speed and goes no further but with other cars without doing anything to settings I can drive and I can drive normal no speed limit. Thanks for the help. Oh by the way thanks Knight for the AMD graphics thread.

It's a bit strange that they show every paint for each car rather than just one car that flips through the available paints, but that's the way it is.  I am gonna assume you have nt mapped a pit limiter button and when you leave the pits the limiter is still on, once you get  the button mapped and exit the pit hit it and everything should be fine.  Knight will have to help ya with the rest as my subscription ended and I uninstalled it so iam not sure which files to look in.

Download files from the ISI forums (There's even a bit torrent sync where you can download everything) Save them to rfactor2/Packages then use the mod manager on the initial RF2 window to install them.

Why uninstall? You can still run offline, update, download new content...Ah never mind.

Ink, yeah bit late to the pit limiter, if the car is fitted with it in life it is fitted in sim, if not...then not.

You only actually have one car and ten or however many paints, just the way ISI show it. It allows custom paints to be applied to different car numbers.

ISI content downloads here http://rfactor.net/web/rf2/rf2dl/

Latest unstable build is going up, so if you want a peek at the latest developments and assist in tracking down any issues head over to the ISI unstable forum, this is monitered by ISI and Testers so be assured every post is read and new issues passed on, even if not replied to.

Hello everone . Im having a hard time with rfactor2 . Can someone with a triple screen setup post there graphic settings please. I'm getting alot of pop in with cars in front of me and on the sides, its not  the whole car popping in and out just parts of the car. Also how do you transfer cars/tracks from the download section of Rfactor onto the actual game . The only way I can get cars is if I go to the multiplayer section and download mods. I'm also missing the different race series with in the game. I'm not very computer savy so please help.

Hmm, okay read this...

To add content (cars, tracks, sounds, etc) to rFactor2, simply download the package files (also known as “mods” or “components”) and place them into the “Packages” folder. Then, run the rFactor2 launcher and click Manage Mods at the lower right.

You should see a list of mod names matching what you have in your packages directory. To install one, simply click with the right mouse button on one and select Install.

By default, the Packages folder is located in:
/My Documents/rFactor2/Packages – But if you chose a different data store path during installation, it will be wherever you put it.

Note that some content may require another item to be installed first. Until the required item is installed, the Mod Manager will tell you it is unable to install them.

If you do not see anything in the list, try using the menu options to show other items. Your mod may then be visible.

To see all content chose All Cars and Tracks

I think you may have the FPS limiter set and this attempts to keep the selected FPS by actively reducing details.

As I have said before if you want to meet up on Team speak it would be easier to talk you through this, and to be honest if you have been downloading mods from multiplayer I would start afresh with just ISI content and get that running right first, once you have done that, then you will be used to the process and can start looking into third party mods, some being good and some quick and dirty conversions.

Bahrain by Mandeglor is getting close to release, possibly the first third party track to use some of the new graphical tricks rF2 has to offer. Have a look here twitter.com/mandeglor/status/440158952534179841 I cant help wondering what the FPS is going to be like, but I am looking forward to finding out.

Also coming is Nuerburgring from Michael Burgess, a conversion but a good one, we have just starting testing and are under strict instructions not to share, but I think he would be okay with this little taster as he has released some shots on another site.

Not sure what you mean, are you talking of some kind of career mode? If so rF2 does not have one, talk is of adding one down the line, but as it stands, you pick your car, pick your track, set the race conditions and go race. The race series button will show you what online series you have installed, so it you go online, download a mod for a race, that mod is stored and you can call it up in single player to practice the race with the conditions set by the server. So as it stands with a vanilla install you have the one mod, "All Cars and Tracks" This gives you...well...all cars and tracks to race with...Hope that made sense.

No worries mate, by the way, have you found the way to map FOV control to your keyboard? Seat adjustments too, I find they're invaluable, some cars require these tweaking to get exactly the view you want, Although FOV is dictated by the angle of your monitors there is some leeway before you see warping in the side monitors.

In other news, a little birdy tells me there may be a release of the Panoz in the next few hours.
