let us know in the friends list thread what your name in the game is. Don't forget to pay special attention to capitols and spaces.

I finally got into the game on Thursday and I've been playing nonstop since. I posted my name in the friends list thread... add me and hit me up for a game! it'll be a pleasure to play with a real team!

bear in mind that I'm a total noob and I suck, but I'm learning :) been a fan of the series since the tabletop days, but I haven't played the games in a longass time so it's like starting fresh!

Sorry, I didn't notice anyone trying to get into games with me... is the message light supposed to flash? I'll keep an eye out. We should all try to coordinate a time and get a group together: we'd dominate the average PUG! :)

Visit the  voice client topic to get it downloaded. If you are playing mechwarrior, be signed into the voice chat client, then you will find it easier to play with friends. Cheers.

Will do. My mic is at work... I'll pick it up tomorrow and try signing into the client. At least I'll have gotten the hang of the game a bit by the time I connect with you guys... I'm actually starting to rack up a few kills :)

Welcome to the new folks, look forward to playing with you all.

Please get on Raidcall, or we can try the C3 VOIP that got linked to MWO in today's patch. It's supposed to invite everyone to the channel that joins the group before launch... I think.

I've noticed several of us in game at a time but not on voice or playing as a group. A number of folks I don't recall ever seeing online, maybe some play in the morning/early afternoon? Anyway, remember to check the friends list and voice when you play so we can get groups put together.

Has everyone enjoyed the hellish cost of repairs and rearms so far?

Hellish it is, I heard it cost about 9.5 million to repair a Atlas, it cost me 4 million for my CAT's, 3 million for Hunchback.

Yeah I know, so they could take some data readings and see how it works. They must have been drunk when they came up with the repair values.

I think the 3-4 mil cbill repair cost is with XL engines. When I lose both side torsos on an atlas before dying with a standard engine the highest repair bill was 1.5 mil. I also read a couple of places where folks didn't bother repairing a lot of components, then after surviving the next game all the components magically repaired themselves. But if XL engines are that expensive to repair I think I'll mostly stick to standard engines.

I don't mind running XL engines, as long as I'm using Divine as a meatshield.

The dev update also said they were going to monitor costs v. repairs.  I think we'll see some tweaking of those costs soon.  I don't care about the XP wipes, but man...wiping all my builds is getting old.

Well I came on for an hour but couldn't grab the attention of those online.  We really gotta start using raidcall guys. Even if its just to show we are afk or something.

No need to be sorry. Lets just log into raidcall anytime we log into MWO. Sometimes I check raidcall to see if people are online. If I see no one in raidcall  I don't bother firing up MWo.

Ok just to know whether or not I'm insane let me ask a question.

I want to chain fire 3 AC/2's in a build similar to Divine's build for a Dragon. But I only want to chain fire those weapons, how do I remove an SRM from that grouping?

OK, I'm going to guess all the weapons are in group 1. Use the up/down arrow keys to highlight the SRM. Push right control to remove the SRM from the group. Use the left/right arrow keys to highlight the weapon group you want the SRM in. Hit r. control again. Move arrow keys back over to group 1 and hit backspace to activate chain fire.

If your askng to only chain fire some of the weapons in a group, it isn't possible.

I noticed that leaving a group on chain fire affects all mechs. I played with a 2 UAC/5 K2 using chain fire on weapon group 2. The next match I switched to an Atlas and noticed weapon group 2 was set to chain fire, which it shouldn't have been. So make sure to check out your weapon groups when changing mechs so that you don't end up chain firing a bunch of medium lasers.

I had already seperated the Ballistic from the Missles into seperate groups on the mech. It just fires the SRM then the 3 AC/2's in succession. No matter how I group it.

It might be a bug that needs reporting, I've never had an issue with it. Maybe disable chain fire, ungroup all weapons, group the weapons again, then enable chain fire on the 3 AC/2 group.
