Is the legendary founders pack even close to worth it?
The $60 one gives ya 2 months premium acct, $80 ingame cash and a mech Valued at $115
$120 one gives ya, 3 months premium acct, $80 in game cash and 4 mechs. Valued at $170
Why not buy 2 $60($120) ones and use have 4 months premium, 2 mechs, and $160 in game cash to buy the mechs you want? Valued at $230
Just feels like a bit of a rip off on the legendary pack. am I missing something?
Because you can't overlap 2 elite founders packs, it would automatically upgrade you to the legendary unless you have 2 different logins. Then one applies to each mechwarrior login you've created. Otherwise the benefits of the monthly premium account include both a C-bill and XP bonus per each month you have one. The XP/C-Bill boost covers ANY mech you're piloting. I would assume that it would apply as a double boost for C-Bills while you are using your founders mechs.

Oh well, bought the elite founders addition. I choose an atlas. I figure if i don't want an atlas after awhile it should give me the most amount of money when I sell it for parts.

I got a desktop that I think should handle the game on low settings so hopefully i will be there with ya all in aug7th. Of course the way things will work i will probably get sent to work right before early release out of province in a frakking camp without convienient internet access.
Polteg I'm pretty sure you can't actually SELL parts. I know there isn't going to be a market style commune to do such things. Since all parts and mechs are equal you can't buy anything that will give you a difinitive edge in battle. Just vanity items and xp/c-bill boosts are the only things being hinted at or confirmed by the devs. I do believe you can change the mech you want as your founders mech before the 7th, not sure about after though. I hope your comp runs the game. I'm getting itchy to shoot a PPC into someones A-S-S.... Lol

Even if my luck holds out and don't get a key, there's only a couple weeks left to go. I've been polishing my mechs so much in anticipation that I'm starting to strip armor.
By now someone here should have a key, and while the NDA won't let you admit it, congrats anyway.
I think the Legendary pack will be more useful if you stick with the game a long time, the 25% C-Bill boost from 4 mechs can add up over the years. It becomes even more useful if the game keeps everyone pretty poor.

Yeah, there hasn't been a lot of info about what you can or can't sell. You can definitely buy parts and mechs, but I have a hunch it's not going to be like MW4, where you're stripping parts and selling chassis all the time.
I actually tried to divide the packages up, and if you don't put a price on getting your name in the credits, then the Legendary level does come out a behind the other levels, and Elite ($60) looks like the best value. On the other hand, the $120 level gives you all of the founders' mechs and name in the credits.
If you assume that the c-bills are being bought at half cost, it looks something like:

But yes it would be nice to blow some shit up. I still need to play steel battalion heavy armor, but can't break away from dragons dogma. hat game is addictive. Mechwarrior will undoubtably tear me away though.

I've never played it but Word of Tanks apparently has "Golden Ammo" that upsets the balance of the game if you're in a match where other people have it and you don't.

I would certainly agree with you PoltegIce, on every point you've made. Though I'm not a big fan of formality myself. Familiarity breeds comfort and comfort breeds trust in my opinion. Saying my full name while in combat is going to detract a bit from the task at hand when we are on the hunt. I spent a couple years in the Army, one of my favorite lessons was, "Shoot, Move and Communicate!"

Yup at begining of the game no mattter what you pay you have have 4 mech slots. But those who get elite and legendary gain extra mech slots in the amount of the founders mechs they u get. I guess that adds value to the deal. Still not sure if I consider it worth it though.... They don't tell you how much you will be charged for extra mech slots. They say the founders mechs are worth about $15 and I would imagine the mech slots could cost a fella anywhere from $5-$10 and I expect you can't unlock those in game at all. Ya I guess it makes it worth it. Its also a nice bonus knowing that for those first 3 months you will be getting paid an extra 75% on all c-bills. sweet. Maybe I will go legendary after all.
I see it on visual attributs alone at a disadvantage to the commando as it has a sleeker profile even though the jenner is a tad shorter. Now it all depends on how they allow you to do the weapon loadouts, heatsinking, and armoring.
The centurion looks like any other average med mech to me.

I was looking into Ventrilo servers, and they're not all that expensive. One or two companies even have a system set up where one person pays, but others can donate.
I think the existing one that was mentioned is only 8 slots? It might be nice to have a 12-15 slot Vent server to actually handle a whole company (assuming 12-player is in at the start). Anyway, Kurupt, what is the status of the previously-mentioned server? Is it actually used by someone else for something, or is it just hanging out there unused?
I sent him a msg as well. Hopefully we hear from him.... I often would use teamspeak with a friend by using other peoples roooms. There are a load out there that no one is using most of the time. We would jump in, make our own room and party on dude. We just need a way to let everyone know where we are playing and if we move...
Hell we could simply state the room profile in a thread on here. easy peazy. I think its a good idea as I don't want any of those messenger programs on my comp...
Im happy to put up the initial cost for 3 months, if we can find a hosting provider that allows these 'donations' per se there after that would be cool.
