I tried to find out what car(s) I should have for this event, but I got lost?
Its been over a month since anyone has built a spec car to run so we just show up and race recommended cars and/or shuffle races. So literally all you have to do is be on Parcells2 friends list (send FR - I'll accept before logging on Thursday evening) and show up and you're all set.
Reading one of your other posts makes me believe you're in Germany? You're more than welcome but the time slot is not overly friendly to European members...unitl we do a weekend event which will commence when the interest is there.
We used to race with a guy named Helios whom we've dearly missed (been streatching to get 6-7 of us for the past 5-6 weeks). Your timing couldn't be worse because we're not racing GT5 tonight. I started a monthly production lobby on Thursday (essentially taking one week off a month from GT5) and tonight is the Forza night.
You're more then welcome to join us in Forza and/or we'll be back to GT5 for the rest of the month.
Hey guys, sorry I have missed so many GT5 nights over the past two months. I have several excuses, none of which have anything to do with you gentlemen, or me not loving GT5, which I still do. Rather, work has been busy, and its been harder to get out by 5pm PST or so. Second, my wife has become less patient with me racing right after I get home. Third, I have a cockpit now (an Obutto Ozone) and my T500 is hard mounted to the Ozone's wheel plate. I use the Clubsport pedals. Of course, I can combine the T500 with the Clubsports on PC, but not on PS3, where I have to use the T500 pedals if I am using the T500 wheel. My work around just arrived yesterday, which is a spare wheel plate from Fast Track Sims that I plan to mount my CSR Elite on. Once I finish that, I will be able to easily swap out the CSR Elite and GT5 (and Forza) will work. I won't have the new plate drilled in time to join you fellas tonight, but I anticipate being back next week. Sorry for the delay.
No worries Craig, its amazing you west coast guys can race at all at this time and while I dont own one myself Parcells understands you need to share your life with your wife from time to time. We'll see you (and Chris) when you can make it.

Starting this week and until further notice GT5 Thursday nights is going public in hopes we can get more participation than the 6 regulars we've been down to of recent.
I tested it yesterday and will create a room with the title "recommended cars only" so find this room this Thursday and we'll see how it goes. When a public arsehole joins our room you know what will happen to him so little risks to our overall enjoyment.
I should be on tonight by around 6pm PST guys. My wife is working tonight and so I should be able to jump into the cockpit shortly after I get home from work.
For the one or two people who still rely on this thread to keep abreast of the Thursday night GT5 ongoings, it is with little regret I am informing you of the cancellation of tonight's session. Little regret because it boils down to taking one week off, its no big deal and I'll be back next week.
Parcells has some socializing to cover this evening.
Logging on in a few minutes and this shameless bump may attract some fellas who dont know about Thursday night's GT5 extravaganza (a few guys racing every Thursday)
Since we went public lobbies after the numbers dwindled to 6 regulars the results have been mostly positive. I'd say less than 25% of the time we end up with less than 10 people running and haven't had to boot too many retards but thats never a problem. A few times we reached 14 like last week. Anyway, its awesome youd love it!
That was a slight downer, saw 4 new posts in the GT5 thread and got all excited but it turns out it is only 1.
No worries Andrew still excited about the prospect of a new entrant. We are still running every week but we haven't run spec cars for many months now. Instead I've been hosting a public lobby and we run the shitty recommended cars...shitty because they basically never change but thats also because we've been driving them for almost 3 years now, arrghhh I digress.
Went public because our numbers dwindled to 6 guys that show up just about every week and most weeks we end up with 10 or more and most drive well so it's been more positive than negative I would say. In any case my goal has always been to go back to a private room which may happen soon as I've got enough new friends from running the public lobby I could send them all a message inviting to a private room and go back to some spec cars. Also suspect GT6 will alleviate the issue with the shitty recommended cars in GT5 but thats something else.
That said we are not racing the next two weeks as I'm off to Florida for excuberant amounts of golf including a few rounds with 2 GT5 racers from Florida.
I doubt we'll stop GT5 anytime soon so send "Parcells2" a FR and find (the boys tell me you can select my name to find my public lobby) my lobby starting at 7:00 Eastern the first Thursday of October.

I have a PS3 but don’t have GT5 (or a steering wheel for PS3), however, based on my new wheel purchase for XboxOne having both PC and PS3 compatibility I may join you at some point.
Wish this didn't confict on Thurs.nite races on the 360 cuz I really want to race a nite or two on GT5 to get used to the old tracks again and the game in general to get ready for GT6. Does anyone who still plays have time on Mondays?
Parcells only objective each and every Monday is to make it through the work day unscathed and as such do not race Monday’s but you could always join in on Thursday’s when we start at 7:00 EST and get an hour or so in before the FM4 series. Not this Saturday but if you’re available some Saturday night I’m guessing I can get 4-5 of our 6 regulars to join in easily enough…and maybe others???...have lots of new friends since running a public lobby.
Parcells just checked out the below thread showing the upcoming GT6 tracks and had myself an orgasm. Then started looking at other GT6 features, namely cars and the below text confirmed my suspicion that ALL cars will now be available via the Dealerships which means we can now schedule races/series using any of the 1200+ cars vs. the limited 200 or so that are available (at any time) in GT5 today. This was by far my biggest gripe about GT5, 1000 cars my ass…IF the car you’re looking for randomly shows up in the on-line or used dealership sure but no guarantee I can acquire a Caterham for next week’s race in the GT5 model.
Physics apparently have improved too so that’s great and it looks like more on-line features will be made available including qualifying sessions so really looking forward to GT6!!!!!

Also just found out GT6 will have Bathurst...giddy up! Fairly confident the GT6 track line up will crush FM5's.
