MY rig I believe is one of the most immersive rigs money can buy. I will get a photo taken shortly.

Adds to the effect. When its warm on-track I turn it on full. It then blows warm air on my legs.

When its cold I open the windows. smiley

Not quite as immersive as that awesome setup Church has, this is what I pulled out of a few boxes and threw together.  The best part of the whole setup is that little white refrigerator which is always fully stocked with beer and normally plenty in reserve along side of it.

Your imagination is better than any picture Parcells can come up with...

Large living room with 42" Sony Aquos TV, Denon Receiver, 5.1 Paradigm speakers/woofer, “Kitchen” chair about 7 feet from TV. Directly in front of chair sits a Rennsport stand with Elite wheel and CSP pedals (V2 pedals coming next week smiley). Assembly and disassembly about 5 minutes if I take my time.

Hey,

here's something to laugh about. My rig: living room, kitchen chair, garden table, tv, xbox, wheel without "force feedback", but manual clutch button, because of only 2 pedals. Well it is my starter set. If I am "big", I want someting like that above. Racing seat, Fanatec.......

it does it for me Parcells2. Works a treat, just waiting for that big lottery win to buy a huge house in the country and convert the garage into an xbox den. with wheel and triple screen setup. Oh and fridge to keep them beers cool.

Fanatec GT2 w/ inverted pedals and shifter. Rib is built from 1/2 " ply and 1x. The seat is from a 1st gen MR2 and the seat was built to mimic its seating position. 70" aquos monitor with a 32" aquos to the side( for watching tv between races), Sony surround sound. The stool next to the rig is designated as a beer holder.

Love it ringmaster. Great job on the rig really like how you inverted the pedals. Looks very comfy and nice touch with the remote holder.

Thanks. Yes it is comfortable. My MR2 went to the big AutoX in the sky, but I just had to keep a piece of him. Inverting the pedals is fairly easy, there is a great video how to. Probably not practical with out a permanent mount. The whole thing is on swivel casters and rolls out of the way for watching movies or playing other games. In addition to the remote holder there is a hook for the headset and and holder for the XBox controller. I have toyed with adding a cup holder but am worried it could. Aide some beer foaming or god for I'd spillage. The seat adjustments all function and the pedals can be moved forward or back about 2".  I actually built it 3 years ago for use with the M$ wheel but when I got the Fanatec it was torn down and rebuilt with major modifications. Much nicer now, though the basic shape is the same.

Here is my present set up.  I have a room in my basemen that is perfect for a Ringmastre type set up.  Saving up for a cockpit and TV.  In the meantime, this is my set-up..

I'd be curious to see your shifter mount sans the shifter itself.  I'm guess you just drilled a hole for the ps/2 plug, but then how did you secure the shifter itself?

Here's my setup.  I've been planning to build something for about a year now and still haven't gotten around to it..  I'm such a lazy ass.

That's a real Recaro, but I haven't been able to find another set with that pattern.  I have it's mate in my closet, for use with the blue RX7 when it is ready.

And yes, my seat is sitting on some rims in a box..  The whole thing is stable, which is all I really car about but it is pretty ghetto.  I think I may try to build my rig this week.  I'm on vacation and have no other plans, so it may be worthwhile.
