All it will do is have clans versus the public. I highly doubt Site clans vs clans will happen. People are too concerned with "ranking up" and getting their barbie dress up armor. They also don't like to get beat and rather take their chances against random timmies. It's the way games have been for years now and it's a shame. When I first joined the site, I played Rainbow Six:Vegas with a full room of 2o2p'ers every night. 16 people in a private server. Ever since MW came out with ranks and prestige, private rooms became rare.
Couldn't agree more. The FPS genre has really turned into Us Vs Them when it comes to the mulitplayer scene. Matchmaking replaced any need for Customs you can't rank up within them. I also think the idea of being defeated plays into it as well. People would rather lose to a bunch of randoms or blame it on LAG then hear about it in the forums the next day here. Sucks for sure, but I don't know that there is any way to change that.
The addition of XP, leveling/grinding, and unlocking of trinkets whilst grinding out said levels has indeed changed the FPS landscape here on 2O2P. COD4 to my recollection was the first big FPS to capitalize on this formula and every major FPS has followed suit in one form or another. Prior to that a majority of groups/clans played private/custom matches. H2, GRAW, COD2, were most often played against friends than Timmy. I enjoy smacking Timmy around, but I do miss the camaraderie of those customs ( Two in the Pink, Swatguns, Pimp My Hog, Cat & Mouse, ect)
This is what us yankees keep...
M4. 300 meters. Effectively silent thanks to the doppler effect. If it's pointed at someone...they won't hear a thing.
As an Irish and an American though...we can agree on hating England though right??
Yeah but us English guys will just have to kick both your asses. Just saying.gif)
.270 scoped good for 400-600 yards...love them for deer hunting...
Marginally on topic, way back in the Counterstrike days, we had teams within the clan and went head to head all the time. No Timmies at all.
Oh dear not the 800 years myth...sorry we kinda got over that. You americans and your big guns...bless..gif)
Thats not really fair. We like small guns too...
Walla, some of us do like big guns:

The feed uses posts and views to calculate the list.

I didn't know this debate had been going on since 2006, and now it's 2014. I'm glad the site is still around!
