Hi everyone!

My name's James Harris but everyone calls me Grandad (grandadjimbo is my XBOX tag)  I've chosen a photo as my image just for now so people can put a face to the name!

I'm 31 and i work as an IT Consultant in London.  I'm heavily into music and have a weirdly eclectic taste, I was in a punk band for 6 years but i also love Rock, Metal, Dubstep, Jungle, DnB ... basically anything with a decent beat and a bit of attitude!!  Forza has kind of taken over my life since I got given a 360 about a year ago and someone recommended it to me.  I have been playing with a different community of gamers but there are only about 3 people that actually enjoy Forza (most of them play FPS or minecraft) so i figured its time to find a new stomping ground!

Anyway, i've only been playing about 6 months and still have a load to learn so i'm looking forward to getting a kicking and levelling up!

Track nites an informal pop in/pop out extravaganza. Some grab the lower classes, some the higher, some stay for all the abuse! I popped in late llast night and hit the Ring cold at R2!

Woohoo!

Hi to all the new folks in 2O4E. If you see me online before 9pm, throw me an invite.

I've been offline for nearly six months now getting the house renovated and I badly need practice. Almost everyone else I know is going to hand me down whup-ass if I race with them, so it would be nice to be beaten by a new face.

Hi Everyone,

My name is Rick and I'm a 41 year old Forza4 addict after about a month of playing.  I live in Norhtern Ontario in a small town called Marathon, and work as an IT specialist at a gold mine nearby.  I used to live in Toronto and was there for 18 years.  I am not what you would call a life-long gamer as i only really got into the scene via WoW about 6 years ago but quit after 3 long years of raiding with two hardcore guilds.  My introduction to Forza4 was very refreshing, and from my standpoint, one of the best surprises in a long time.  I used to be a motorcycle instructor and for me, anything with more than two wheels seemed to be a waste of rubber lol.  I would play some of the MotoGP games on PC but never really found the experienc e of riding a bike translated properly to the video game format.

I purchased an Xbox 360 late last year in conjunction with all the "Skyrim" hype.  I played that game for a couple months but then got kind of bored with it...it just seemed "shallow" compared to the ridiculously complex world in WoW.  So one night I was at the local movie rental place and decided to rent a game for the hell of it.  I saw Forza4 on the shelf and figured " why not?"  I ordered my own copy the very next day and have been totally addicted ever since.  I am pretty new and have loads to learn and am excited to be part of this club!

Just to round me out a bit...I also enjoy playing guitar and singing, writing music,  fishing, tennis, cooking, wine....and of course...cold beers on hot summer days!

Cheers!  :)

In the meantime...

I'll show you mine if you show me yours...

Now I'm running through two of these in stereo

Hey Cotter, I definitely think I could use some pointers when you have the time, definitely keen to improve! I really want to invest in a fanatech at some point but I never seem to have that kind of cash lying around!

@ grandad...I'm home from work most days through the week by 3pm CST (GMT -6) or pretty much anytime on the weekends. Just let me know when you'd like to hook up so I can be available.

@ Lobo....Id that a Spidervalve or a Vetta? I've got no experience with the vetta, bbut the sidervalves are very nice. especially for the price.

Hi all,

My name is Bevan, I am 39 and I work with Grandad. I ran the club that he came from and as he said things kinda dried up over there so I asked him where he went and voila, here I am. Been playing Forza since F3, along with an array of other PC games. I am also a member of FlatOut racing club, but they are a rFactor/EVO based club.

I have been ion IT for the passed 18 years and am currently an IT Manager but specialise in C#/SQL development.

Other hobbies are Aircooled VWs and drag racing.

Hope to see you on track soon :)

Those spidervalves are indeed nice.

And yes, I love my 5150's. You just can't beat them for rock & metal. They also clean up nicely if you know how to use them properly. Despite what some people say.

As for the wolfgang, To be honest that ones been gathering dust since I got that new Les Paul a few weeks back. I haven't had a chance to try the new EVH Wolfgangs. My local Guitar Center has one of the Specials on the wall. I just haven't asked them to let me play it yet. I've heard mixed reviews on the new ones. Some say the Peaveys were better.

Love the fact F4 has a Beetle in it now. I think I have the colour spot on, but unfortunaly the rims are totally different. I have kept the standard engine in it as well as swapping it out for a Golf engine would be sacrilege ;)

That would be awesome. TBH I'm just not sure how the hell you would fit the Golf I4 engine in the Beetle anyway. -1 point for realism Turn 10 ;)

Welcome everyone. I have been around a little while and just wanted to say hello to all the newer members who have joined in the last month or so. It's really great to have new members. Youll find that this club will multiply the addiction you may already have for Forza. LOL if anyone is looking for some decals or help painting hit me up. I'm more than happy to share what I've got. I'm a middle of the pack guys but am always willing to run laps when folks want practice. If I'm in the paint booth just send me an invite or a PM. Mavic and notch, any idea how to go about finding a Karman Ghia? I've been thinking it would be a cool ride. I'm not much of a mechanic though. Any advice would be helpful.

Probably the best thing you can do is find a local aircooled VW club and go have a chat. Other than that, try online VW forums with a "Cars for Sale" thread, or if you are really lucky just your average auto trader type site or magazine you may find one where the owner doesn't really know what they have. This is very rare, but also very good for the wallet :)

You could try the owners club : http://karmannghia.org/ but although you will probably get a great example, you will pay through the nose.

I would try the club option first as word of mouth can get you a great deal.

Good luck :)

Hello, I'm Duqe, age 25 and located in Belgium. Forza player since I picked up an Xbox360 and a Forza 3 Collector's Edition in anticipation of Forza 4, upon the disapointment I got from seeing the Gran Turismo 5 (I don't think it's a bad game at all, and the disappointment is strictly opinion) launch reviews and content summaries.

Well, what's there to say? I'm a circuit racer and beginning drifter, focussing on clean driving and consistent laps rather than all-out speed (it shows). I tune my own cars with occasional success- don't buy tunes or vehicles off the storefront. I don't generally favor any one type of car either, I'm a jack-of-all-trades on that front, and run in every single class whenever I feel like it. I've got a good 25-50 cars parked as of current ranging from old to new, muscle car to import, stock thrashers to finely tuned track runners all the same.

And of course, in real life I drive a Citroën C1, and was gladdened to see it included in Forza 4. Pictures below:
