We were down a man or 2 most of the night. We also had a few quit due to some "unsportsmanlike conduct"

No excuse there, we got beat up fair and square. They played really well as a team, I don't count the times we were outnumbered not because we were shorthanded but because they played with a lot a cohesion. That plus smart use of the soflam, we were doomed, even with some great players on our side.

If anything I want a rematch...

I only want a rematch if we can have more of our elite players participating, even if that precludes my participation. It would also be nice to play as a group a few times, to establish roles, responsibilities, etc. Also, I apologize fo leaving early (not that it mattered). I thought we were doing best of 3, not 5.

Couldn't agree more

Well that should make them feel a little better after getting beat up by PPC a few times smiley

I'll try and be there next time, just figured that with a 101 degree fever I should probably go to bed last night instead of playing BF.

Hey  guys.  Glad to hear there were no real hard feelings over the M26 dart thing.  He was a member from the MOH days, and this was his first night back playing with the clan.

I would like to apologize to you guys on behalf of [MADH], mostly to toofat for that.  I know he was upset about it.  I know neither side plays like that, so it was kind of an unspoken (& forgotten) stated rule not to use.

If you would welcome us back for a rematch, we would certainly play on the HARD CORE server again.  Then you can turn the tables on us like the last time.  LOL  The clan was impressed with your guys's agressive play style.  We had to continually recapture objectives.

We can set up some general rules next time, if you're willing to host us.

on a side note: I played like po-poo against you guys, but a game afterwards against some very good randoms I actually played pretty good.  Hard to explain.  I guess I am totally a streak player.  fwiw, my ass hurts too.  You guys played well, even if you were a couple of guys short.

I wasn't killed a single time by a M26, but I sure died a lot. For 2fat it must be karma thing and he knows what I am talking about smiley

Speaking of rules, whe should definitely prohibit the use of the soflam

I think it would have been interesting to see what would have happened on a non-vehicle map, the soflam/Javlin combo was devestating. TMH were well organized, every vehicle  on Canals or Firestorm was met with an almost instant barage of 3-4 javlins, we did better on Caspian thanks to more cover and widespread flags, but we were eventually worn down there too.  We were locked into our spawn from early on in nearly each match, which we do to other groups pretty regularly (especialy on Canals).  So much so, when we got to game 4/5 on Hiway we decided to not even try and camped in our spawn (that's where we were going to end up anyway, amirite?) for the first five minutes, which didn't work out too well for us either. We were beat fair and square by an excellent display of teamwork, eliminating one guy using M23 Darts wasn't going to change that (seeing as the most devistating classes were snipers and engineers).

A quick look on TMH's battlelog page shows they run practises, have strategies for individual maps and specific roles in their squads, while PPC usually runs looser, relying more on several guys who can massacre opponants without mercy combined with effective support players who cap objectives.

I do not look forward to a rematch anytime soon, my ego can't take it. (boo hoo hoo!)

Next time we play, the only "ground rules" I would add are....

Soflam. At the very least, set some rules on placement.... like not pointing it towards the opposing team's spawn. That match on Firestorm was brutal. It really sucks being locked on and having javs blowing up vehicles before you get out of the spawn area

And in general, being too close to the spawn area. Firestorm and Tehran had too many guys right up next to the spwan area locking on to vehicles as soon as someone jumped in them

Other than that, it was a good old fashioned ass whoopin' cool

I have no problem with those rules, and I'm sure the other guys won't either.  It woudl be interesting to run a Metro map once and see how everybody does with no vehicles.

I think we can be ready with some notice, so whenever you guys are set up, let us know and we can do this again.  Give each side a week or so to get everybody lined up.

Was no different than playing against random Timmies!  Darts, 15 soflams, super spawn camping..Thats why I quit!  I will stick to HC , at least you bullets count most of the time! I dont mind posting this here either, that shit will not happen to an all PPC team on HC! We tried a lil match before of 8 on 8 or was it 6 on 6? Anyways we now how that went!!! Anyways I enjoyed it for about 5 min ! I will leave Core to the proffessionals and DART users...

I disagree, if this were a team of random timmies, we had enough of some the best players around(You, Yem, Bowlringer, Ekattan, etc) to turn the table in every game, HC or not, like it has been the case so many times before.

I won't talk about darts, didn't get killed by one the entire match. I don't mind soflam+javelins spawn camping, to me it's faire game, sure it's infuriating when you are on the wrong side of it but i don't consider it cheap. How is it different from a game of Kharg Rush when we play defence and soflam the shit out of the other team? I don't see a real difference, it's one of the map where we have some kind of a team routine and that's pretty effective. Same for the last crates of the same map thanks to the tactic you made up. They just seem to have more things in place for every map, that's all.

What impressed me last night was the coordination amongst them, there were multiple instances where they outnumbered us at various places because of that. This was particularly obvious on Teheran highway after we broke their spawn camping up. I can't wait to play them again on HC with PPC 12vs12, because the more players you have on a team the more organized you have to be, if anything it's an exciting challenge .

PS: Dear fellow 2o2p member, please don't hate if I didn't mention you amongst the best players. This is not the point. You skills are god-like and you mom think you are an handsome individual. Is it okay now?

PPS: Whisker you're not concerned by the above,  you suck at this game as much as me but you already know that.

I did not know there was a clan match that night.  Had I known I would not of smoked a big bowl of green bud.  I blame that for my complete lack of skills...not that I plan on not smoking anytime soon.

Interestingly, that makes me a better player...for the most part.

Quite frankly, my biggest issue was that I was getting very poor results with the javelin. I fired a lot of missiles at armor & soflams, but got very few hit markers. Maybe 20-25% impacted the target.

So I guess this is why 2fat shot me a random game invite last night, lol. Sorry, if I had known it was an "official" match me and the few guys I had on coulda joined in.

We got beat by an organized and skilled team that had better tactics (javelin + SOFLAM) and executed them well.  We were also dominated on certain maps because they established air superiority quickly.  Choppers and jets with laser designators along with SOFLAMS complimented by plenty of engineers with Javelins meant near instant death to any vehicle.  Well played. yes

Yeah, the biggies were them being a team that plays together and we were just a bunch of random 2o2p peeps thrown together. It also didn't help that some guys on our team stayed in squad chat instead of switching over to team. Makes it a bit tougher when you can only communicate with 2/3 of the team lol

As for the soflam/jav spawn smashing. I with you, corcharo, when playing the random chumps you come across, but in the spirit of a friendly clan battle, I don't think that's something that should be exploited when amongst friends

I agree. They had their strategies down.

I didn't even know what maps we would be palying or gametypes.

On Canals I didn't even know when the game started. I thought it would reset after 8 players had joined.

I guess our error was forming a group of randoms to go up against a well formed and strategized team. No hard feelings though.

I appreciate the games. wink
