Jason - I also noticed a 2 lap LeMans seasonal event that offers $200,000.00 for first place...if you max your log in to 200% you could win 300 grand every 10-12 minutes I would imagine and since you love that track it seems a no brainer.

Agree with Parcells...Double Up though is $400,000. and that is less than 8 minutes. Get the Pescarolo C60 Hybride-Judd 05...Max Speed 255...Mid Range Turbo..Might have to dial it back in Power a couple clicks...Go Make Some EASY Money!...Don't cut corners and Don't Ram Anybody that might give you penalties.
That's sort of what I thought too and I'm guessing you're info. is based on pure facts and experience but I swear the Vision seasonals awarded 100-125 thousand for gold and I pulled in 250 each race at 110% so I figured 200 would triple to 600...somethings fishy about this GT6 math and it wont surprise me that my forthcoming investigation will reveal the problem lies between Parcells ears but I'll get back to you.
Maybe the one lap vision seasonals award credits for all podium positions and the Lemans race only the position you finish in???
I should be there thurs. I just built me another rig for gt5. It was getting to be a hassel switching wheels out and hooking up everything else for one night of racing. Only one draw back. Single screen setup.

I like your style Greg...You could possibly be as lazy as Parcells? LOL

Greg, you are better off with a single screen right now anyway. The newest update borked the multi-monitor feature. Everytime I run triples now the two client PS3s lock up. Hopefully PD will issue a patch soon.
Parcells is half way through a 2 week vacation with a decent hangover so unless circumstances change for the better later today this weeks cars probably won't be announced until Tuesday or even Wednesday evening after I get back from a 2 day golf excursion.
Unless of course if anyone wishes to pick this weeks cars, that can be arranged. Was driving the new Nissan GT3 car (think is was GT3 class???) a few days ago and that was nice but we just drove a similar GTR like car last week so maybe too soon? Also leaning towards choosing a semi-unofficial KART car that we can take out any given Thursday for shits and giggles when the mood strikes us...the Senna KART seems a good candidate for that job.?

Deja vu ? Swear I've seen this exact same post somewhere else, hmmmm.
Seems like a lot of work finding a new car mid-vacation so tomorrow we'll be going with some fan favorites (aka Parcells favorites) and we'll just wing it. If I picked the right KART (one with manual gearing) that will become the semi-unofficial KART car for Thursday nights when the mood hits us for some KART racing.
Good Time Last Night Parcells...Good to get back...Rusty as Shit but was picking it up when I learned what it was like to get plowed by Farmer Dan...Not one race...Not two...But three races Farmer Dan plowed me like a corn field....Damn I Missed Him!
Hey, all, I came up with an idea for a new weekly format for the "Spec Car" series that I want to toss out there. While we do a good job of mixing up the tracks each week, we still leave quite a few tracks off to the side which we never run. I put all of the tracks on an Excel spreadhseet and then separated them proportionally by length (see below.) As it turns out. the Group B and the Group C tracks are the ones we run the most, while the Group A and Group D tracks are the ones we run the least. The Group B/C tracks outnumber the Group A/D tracks at a ratio that's roughly 3-to-1.
My idea is to simply keep track of the courses we run each week so that we dont repeat any tracks until we've run them all at least once within a period of time. We could accomplish this by each week running: 3 x Group B tracks, 3 x Group C tracks, and 1 x Group A or D track for the Spec Car races. This would give us a perfect mix of tracks each week, plus we wouldnt see the same tracks over and over - it will take roughly 3-momts before a track would re-appear again on the schedule. Since groups B/C each contain 34 tracks, each of them could be sub-divided into small/medium/large tracks to create the perfect lineup of tracks each week.
Also, this would give us the opportunity to run TWO spec cars each week. One Spec Car would be for the Group B/C races, and then we would need one special car for either a Group A race or a Group D race (karts for the small tracks, something like the Red Bull Jr for the large tracks.)
If this sounds good to the group then I can go ahead and take this list of tracks an turn it into a schedule. That way there will be no worrying about what tracks we'll race each week... at least not for another three-months!
Idea has merit Jason but I’m not sold on the implementation method for the following reasons…
- The A tracks you listed suck. I would never purposely schedule any of them.
- The D tracks are not very suitable for the 8-10 minute races we typically run on Thursday’s which is probably why I never schedule them and they are rarely chosen when we vote.
- I don’t believe a mixture of small, medium and long tracks are always the “best mix” of tracks for a given week. I think the car determines what tracks are best suited…I do not want to be racing MINI’s at Spa or a Lambo at London.
However, the idea does have merit so if you’re willing to keep track of what we race each week and/or keep a list of what tracks we haven’t raced for a while I/we can do a better job of racing the tracks we don’t often get to…implementing what you’re suggesting but just not as stringent or with more flexibility??? Let me know what you think.
We do have 2 spec cars each week these days and with each we can predetermine the tracks to run but I’ve not been scheduling tracks for the first car because of attendance…It’s an early start for most people so the first half hour see’s little racing as the first 5-6 guys mosey on in at their convenience and it’s not until after 8:00 when we usually see a minimum of 8 people. Not that we can’t schedule races starting at 7 but this is exactly why I haven’t been.
ANNOUNCEMENT: Parcells is taking a two week sabbatical from Thursday evening racing. No specific reason beyond it’s time for a small break. See you in 2 weeks on August 28. I “might” be on-line either night but it would be to test cars for future weeks.
I was talking to Dan (rudy 2uesday),and he is starting a room tonight (2o4f). I guess we will run whatever sound good at the time.
Tell Dan I'll get back to him after I check the Thursday night regulations to see if he's allowed to run a room without me overseeing it. Shouldn't take more than a couple hours.
Checked into it Greg and while officially Dan is allowed to host a room in my absense I seriously recommend you take charge and don't allow Dan to make many real decisions or just make him think he's in charge that shouldn't be too difficult.
half thinking about joining in on one race later with a controller and perhaps take a few jabs at Dan's lackluster room hosting expertise?

Why the controller, Parcells, did your CSR Elite break?
So taking into consideration what Parcells suggested, here's what I came up with for a fixed schedule of tracks. I removed the 'Tiny' and 'Huge' class of tracks (the ones we never run.. for a reason) and what was left are tracks all within the length of what we typically run. Also, instead of mixing up small tracks with large tracks I basically split the list in half by length. Group A constists of tracks ranging from 0.8-mile in length up to 2.24-mile; Group B consists of tracks from 2.24-mile up to 4.39-miles in length.
Basically what's left are two classes of tracks - Group A, which is meant for low- to mid-powered cars; Group B which is meant for mid- to high-powered cars. Each week's schedule of races will contain a mix of tracks ranging from the smallest to the largest within the same group. When I put the schedule together I sub-divided the two groups further so that the list of races each week start are in order from smallest to largest
You wont see a week where the Red Bull Junior will be running at both Autumn Ring Mini and Spa- this was the flaw of my original proposal.
Essentially we would alternate Group A with Group B each week - one week low-to-mid cars with Group A tracks, the next week a mid-to-high car with Group B tracks. What we end up with is a 14-week schedule in which we do not run the same track more than once so that the list of tracks is completely fresh each week. We could decided well in-advance what fourteen cars to run, picking from a mix of our favorites (i.e. any Touring Car) as well as some new ones.
I'm sold Jason, great work bud. We can work in Dirt/Snow stuff as needed AND while we may not alternate group A & B every week (car dependent) we can pretty much stick to alternating this 14 week schedule. I also think we should adopt this system for our "traditional" spec car...i.e. the second car we run each week but we can continue to identify a two car per night system and keep voting for tracks for the first car….surely that was your intent too?
I'm going to stick to this schedule but I do want to keep Thursday's open in regards to if anyone really wants to run something that doesn't stick to this schedule I can’t see me not approving it then the next week we’re back to the schedule.
Also, a while back I enquired about people’s ability to afford the 1.8 Million Monster truck car that Dan wanted to run and we still haven’t scheduled. Instead of this one of the upcoming weeks we will use strictly One Make cars that the game provides us….I saw recently that the Quattro Pikes Peak Rally car is available and since that is real powerful (like the Monster truck) and most likely a hell of a lot better than the truck plus free for everyone expect a one-make Thursday evening in the near future.
Since I’m taking one more week off I would like to identify the next 14(28) cars we will use and throw them into this schedule so “who wants to contribute???” We can pick whatever we want (can always change later if we want to too) and I’m in agreement with Jason that we can pick some of our favorites along with some new ones. Therefore if there are any cars anyone wants to run and/or specific tracks (as grouped above) for said car please provide your input at your earliest convenience else you’ll be driving a lot of Parcells favorites if you know what I mean which you all do.
Jason - I also noticed a 2 lap LeMans seasonal event that offers $200,000.00 for first place...if you max your log in to 200% you could win 300 grand every 10-12 minutes I would imagine and since you love that track it seems a no brainer.

Here's basically what a 3-week span of races would look like with what I've outlined above:
Great Work Indy

he is on vacation and to hook up the constitutes work.......he's on vacation
good to know someone understands, its a good 5 minutes almost to hook that bugger up.
