We'll see you when you return Jason. It did seem out of character for you as you're about as laid back as I am and like I mentioned above it's water under the bridge so no worries and working for a living sucks.
It can be tough crowd that's for sure. On the one hand I've had complaints in the past that people do not like tuning cars because the majority just show up each week looking for some good races where virtually no one practises for Thursday evenings which is great. Otherwise you get the inevitable whining about "I don't tune, it’s not fair for me” which I can relate to so the solution to that is to turn on the "prohibit tuning" lobby setting which basically forces us to use stock cars and since there’s so many great cars right out of the Dealership (and we’ve had very few tunable spec cars to-date in GT6) it didn't seem much of a stretch to go with all stock tunes even for spec cars as it definitely simplifies things.
But then last night I heard some bitching from more than a couple people about the new oil change rule bla bla bla are you fucking kidding me? You can’t remember or its too much trouble for you to take the one extra minute to apply an oil change? Get real and furthermore if you don’t like it then don’t apply an oil change you’ll still be able to get into the room and then you can complain about being underpowered and bitch about that which just happens to be the reason behind implementing the oil change rule in the first place…..serenity now, that felt good!
Second post updated with this week's cars and below. I'll try to keep updating both but unable to commit to anything dont want to become reliable or anything with extra pressure, you know what I'm talkin about. In honor of Sir. Wheels well advertised yet very much under the radar minor come-back we are going rally racing during the latter stages of Thursday evening...maybe that isn't much of an honor eh Wheels? but you should like the first car.
Just to confirm, we should buy dirt and snow tires as well for the Subi, correct? I would think its common sense however there might be some that complain that they didn't know to buy them
Good one Grimm and yes you should probably buy snow and dirt tires if you plan on racing. Since it was the regulars who I email every week with the cars/tracks that were bitching about the oil change rule last week I added some extra verbiage to their weekly update along the lines of…
“The oil change rule is not going away so deal with it. You do not actually have to change your oil if it’s too much of an inconvenience for you and then you can complain about being underpowered. In either case your bitching will go in one ear and out the other.”
I suck at driving in the dirt. I just can't get the feel of the car. Still had a blast last week and looking forward to running whatever you have planned.
I love driving in the dirt its like driving on ice something else Canadians know a litte about :) and I was on fire last week, never felt so comfortable/relaxed in the dirt/snow before maybe because it was one of those rarest of Thursday's when I wasn't drinking? I've said it before and I'll say it again...one of the more important dirt tactics is to avoid the pot-holes the best you can as they slow you down big time.
This week's cars/tracks updated below. Re-using the G37 because of all the room issues last week.
In fact, I do know that, the car identification was spectacular work for him but you should see how he communicated the Red bull ring track, that was entertaining to say the least, had to confirm that one with him. What I didn't anticipate (or forgot - you're the only one who would ever catch that typo) was anyone noticing
Some great racing last night!!! Top 4 within a quarter second of each other crossing the finish line…we can do better…NOT. Trial Mountain reverse coming out of the last turn I was in P1 but before T1 Dan, Greg and Grimm all passed me kind of NASCAR style (you bozos left me out to hang there was nothing I could do but watch you all pass me by – it didn’t seem very polite that’s all) but I set myself into a fortunate position entering T1 and by 100 meters pass T1 I was back in P1….quite the turn of events and what makes racing a total blast!!!
Room instability wasn’t close to as bad as it was last week but I kind of think there might be something odd with my connection cause just like last week when I got booted I was unable to see ANY friends rooms at all so didn’t even bother searching through the room via the public rooms which I most certainly would rejoin but I need to find it first.
The thing is when I first logged in the last 2 weeks my first attempt to go “on-line” the game told me I could not log in because I haven’t agreed to the terms of service. Then I dismiss the message (no option to accept terms of service at this point) and proceed to log into on-line and open the room up with seemingly no issues until I end up getting booted. I’ll mess around with this some before next week unless someone has heard of this before and could suggest something.
I Dont know what happened last night with my connection. I got black screened twice before the race started. I didnt expect Al to stop the race again . And I dont get on gt6 to watch a race so I gave up for the night. See ya next week.Rusty
No doubt one of you guys will be inclined to say “hey that’s plagiarism.” when you consider this week’s cars (below) so please remember that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

hey that’s plagiarism! You will be hearing from my lawyers!!!!! Actually will be a good test for traffic management. Wont help you though with tires and fuel.
Just what I need, wake up to threats of pending lawsuits and only a few days before I start vacation, what a racket. This is only a game and shouldn’t be this difficult…ho hum
You go ahead and send your lawyers but this is my story and I’m sticking to it….car 2 is merely a practice session for your event and long ago you just happened to choose car 1 for a series that I was always going to run in GT6, you just happened to beat me to it, strictly a timing thing no plagiarism intended or administered. The Megan Trophy car was a definite favorite of mine in GT5, you can ask anyone!
Not sure if I'll be home in time for the Megan Trophy car but should be there for the Nissan. Will be good to run some laps in traffic with it. Why did not leave out Suzuka?
After last week's awesome racing I wanted to make it tonight but could not make it happen. I did save replays last week of the finish at Silverstone (four cars within .25-seconds of each other) and the race at Daytona later that night, where it literally was a photo-finish. Will hopefully be able to race next week because last week was a blast!
Off to Sports Car races tomorrow at IMS, followed by the NASCAR little-league (i.e. Grand National) race on Saturday. Skipping the Brickyard 400 - been there, done that, boring.... zzzzzzzzz.
That's a shame cause I hazard to guess that last night's races probably eclipsed the previous week's in fun and close competition. Probably didn't have as close a finish as sub 0.25 seconds but frequently the top 3-5 cars were within a second including one memorable race at High Speed Ring reverse where I went from first to fourth and back again sometimes more than once during a single lap and almost a three wide finish!!!
Thanks for the racing. Its been awhile since I have been able to race with all of ya. Good fun. I look in on ya and last night was the first time in awhile I have been able to see all the guys and they can see me. I will check in more often.
Ugh, I have just about had it with GT6. At some point overnight a patch gets released and I've tried a dozen times now to download it - it just randomly stops during the download, once when it was 95% complete. Now my 5-day login bonus is in jeopardy - I had set out to use the 200% login bonus over the weeke to earn some credits. All this trouble just to add a couple of concept cars to the game is a waste of time - they should be optional.
Manually adjusting the timezone can bring you back to 200% login within 5hrs. Before starting GT6, set your PS3 to a timezone that puts your system time to 1100-1159PM, Start GT6 and as soon as the "midnight hour" occurs you should get the bonus level increased. Save GT6 and then exit out and change the timezone and repeat the process.
There is actually a bit more to the update than the 2 VGT cars. Specifically the new Track (Circuito de la Sierra, otherwise known as Zahara) has been added although not released yet. - Link to confirmation - http://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/update-1-10-discussion.314139/page-22#post-9912860. As a refresher, this is the new track that was teased back in January (I think) that is larger than the Green Hell!
Ugh , wish I hadk known about the timezone reset! Had to start all over again. I did do the Ayrton Senna go-kart race - you get $450,000 for a gold medal! I finally have some cash!
That is one huge download, did it earlier today. Then I did the two seasonal events (new vision car saesonals) and with only 110% bonus won half a mill within 15 minutes. Red Bull short was a joke to gold, Tokyo considerably harder but Jason can nail it no problem so if you do those with 200% you'll earn another million plus two new cars that drive pretty well each worth 1 million credits...hmmm, wonder how much you can sell the Vision cars you win for or if you can sell them at all?
Apparently the new Nissan Vision car comes equipped with KERS....that would definitely be interesting for strategy eh? Just have to figure out where that damn Nitro button is on my wheel.
The Nissan 2020 Vision GT has a working KERS system. To use it, press the button you have assigned to nitro.

Come Thursday Suzuka practice seems unnecessary.
