Thanks Tourni for the tune, am still horribly slow but just slightly less so lol. Really canna get a time going on this track in any state of tune ...sigh....
Also, when in the hell did I get put into the silver group with the likes of Fitzy, Dazon, Max, Jimee and Oldschool to name a few. I'm greatful but I only got hot for one lap. Im nowhere near thier level of racing that those guys produce race in and race out.

@shaggy - Absolutely the best method to attack these events. Pap has a point with this next TAC, sedona can be a very frustrating track to get it right at speed. However, i've hotlapped this before and i should be able to provide some good tips for everyone.
@grim - this is different, racing is about consistency where as this is about raw pace. You have raw pace and by doing this event you'll get the consistency of being able to hit your lines time and time again. After a few of these you'll find yourself amongst these names :)
Great time though! Its put you above church and shake :)
Its a nice place to be.... Should hopefully be able to fit a couple more sessions in this week for the challenge ends - Personal target for this one is top 50, and the 3 tenths I need are all in the last section coming off of the CS - just got to find them!!
I think you can do that - make sure you get a good run from turn 8 to 8A, you need to be full throtlle coming out in 3rd. Turn 9 is full throttle, the gear change point can make all the difference with speed through the turn. Be careful on the steering to minimise any slide on exit. Down into turn 10, is a short brake and flick down the gear the car will tend to dart in to the corner but full power or near full power will help you rotate the car round. IRC exit speed of this turn is about 88 or so. Brakes hard and fairly early to get the tight turn in over the curb, power through the curb and use as much track as you dare on the exit (one tyre over the curb on the outside will dirty).
I'm finding hitting the VAG as hard as it is at home. Maybe if I buy the Lotus some flowers and bring it out for a nice meal she may let me drive her. Although if it's anything like Real Life probably not.

Just try filling it up with a bottle of white wine (the Lotus that is) - A semi decent Pinot Grigiot should do the trick at this time of year.

Won't work, in both cases they would conk out and the only VAG I'll be driving hard would be palm.
obviously not fast compared to many others but still a huge improvement overall for me. I think I need to be satisfied with that and do some other racing until the next round

Excellent result, and excellent idea!! The last thing you want to do is burn yourself out on hotlapping. Don't forget to break up sessions with some good old fashioned racing
I'm happy with what I've learned the past week myself as well. Moving on to getting the car prepped for the next challenge.

Yeah, nice going JC - A massive achievement and a 1.37 ain't that slow :)

That should bring you home nicely.. :)
Now i'm 6th. Thats not good enough.

lmfao fitzy :D
Just wanted to mention that there are a couple of these Lotus in the Euro garage if anyone needs to use one, with Tourni's tune on them.
I see the Élan as the recommended car but I can't find the PI class we're tuning for. Clarification?
D, We are working on a tune at the moment.
Ends 26/05/13
I hear you fitzy, its the only VAG I'm getting so I need to keep hitting it hard!
I hope you hit the other one better than this one, only 6th. Room for improvement.
For now...
Forever...
Orly:
You go girl.
I got my target time and drove a 1:37.483

Congrats JC.
LOL
I always get to ride the VAG.gif)
New tune sent out, its faster. I can lap consistent 1.34.4 in it, I just couldn't get a clean 1.33.
Thats my lot in this TAC as i need to get building the Elan ready for you guys.
GL !:D
Ahhhh crap. I was just about to say I'm done with this after running a last session and you go and say that there is a new tune.
I just chipped away at it.
Nah, I'm done, honest. Really. ;)
