I am sure, that you all use a different car with much more power. I found some time and speed from 1.42.054 (place 15.740) to a now 1.39.039 (place 3.937), but for now I can't find anything to improve or I make stupid mistakes. Your times seems to be millions hours of training away for me. Those alien times 1.34.xxx are unbelievable.
Hotlapping is not my favorite thing to do, but one thing is right: It is seat time and the consistency improves on the used track.
5 seconds. Where on this eart or in hell are those 5 seconds in that car or on the track? I hate my cheap non-forced-feedback-plastic-wheel-pedal-set. I can't feel something. All I can do is hear my tyres and see what I am doing - mostly after I have done something wrong. Grrrrr.
It is time to go to bed and to dream a nice dream. I think I will visualize my Seat in Suzuka and my podium tomorrow. That's a good and nice one.

Interesting to see how much you can push the car isn't it :) Don't forget to check your lines/times/speeds against lb ghosts to give you an idea of where you are loosing your time the most :)

Definitely what I need. I know how to turn on ghost, but not how to access a specific LB ghost. Can someone steer me in the right direction?

Not all LB times have a saved replay. I think they keep all
of the top 100s (including any that were formerly in
the top 100. The way to tell if the replay exists is if
there is a symbol in the "paper clip" column. If so,
cursor to that row in the LB, press 'A' and choose
"race this ghost".
I might even be able to get a 1:35 out of it....We'll see. It'll be one of those times when I sit down and rip off a fast lap like 4 laps into firing up the xbox
Has anyone experimented with the tune? Car seems faster for me if I turn down the rear decel to around 10......No other changes though.
I tried a tune from Cobra that I ran a handful of dirty 1:36.4's in but it was a little too "tight" for me.
I didn't mess with the decel, but i did change the tow.. I added 2 degrees of tow out to the front and reduced the rear tow to
1 degree. Nothing drastic, just produces a type of turn in I'm more used to. Other than that, I think I'm running it stock.
I think an appropriate target time for me is going to be 1:37.500 I really don't think I've got the skills currently to break into 1:36. I've gotten a few laps in the upper 1:37's but that seems to be pretty close to my current limit.
Alright, I am still the slowest one to post but by golly, I shaved off over 5 seconds off my time from the other night. I went manual and turned off the assists. Not sure how many laps I ran tonight but only got a handful of clean ones. Still have a long way to go before I can call myself a racer but all in all, it's been a good night for me.

Indeed, there is a fine line between getting annoyed with a TAC and it putting you off your game or working through it to figure out where you are loosing your time. You have set a good time though, i'd be happy with that in my first event.
Lowering the decel could be good idea, it will make the car more lively and have a tighter turning circle. There are a couple of things that I may adjust just to give the car that bit more of an edge :)

After a terrific training session with Tourni (Thanks!), I just cracked the 1:37s with 1:37.552. The more I drive this car, the more I love it.
Targeting to get into the 1:36, but the closest I've been is a dirty 1:37.330, so it won't be easy. I'll keep working the VAG hard..gif "18")

As for me, I'm done with this TA round. Hit my target time and there is nothing more I can get out of her with my current skill level. 1:36.888!

I think 4 weeks is too long, so i'll half it. 2 weeks, gives plenty of time for the casual players to run some laps and see if they can improve.
So this TAC will end next sunday, I've frozen the value of the next track/Class pick to Jdankert :)
