I haven't been around here very long but have thoroughly enjoyed all the time on the track with everyone. I've learned a lot and continue to get better at this hobby / obsession. I don't plan on going anywhere, just disappointed that I can't find a way in my schedule to participate more in several of the series 2O4F members run. I'm only at 30% on the event list and will continue to chip away at those, but its the hours I spend practicing for a specific race / event I find to be the most rewarding spent in FM4. I learn and improve my skills much more doing these than the typical event list races.
I was really excited to jump into the BritProCar Event as it fit my schedule and allowed me to participate in a way I hadn't been able to before. Plenty of time to practice when I could find it leading up to the actual race event. The excitement of all who ran that race was infectious. I ran the Mx5 series and enjoyed that just as much. Seems Sunday's are about the only days the timing works for me, so I miss out on several other series on Saturday's :( Just throwing it out there, I wouldn't mind seeing an occasional one off endurance races like BritPro.
Anything in life that I really enjoy, I enjoy better with a little moderation. Sometimes a simple break is all that is needed for it to feel new all over again. Forza is a game, a source of enjoyment and provides a safe diversion from the daily grind. A modest expense for the number of hours of enjoyment it is has provided. It's only a mater of time before the need or desire to take a break and turn to something new presents itself. No shame or guilt to be felt about it. It really is just the natural course of events. I do hope to see those for whom that time may be near back when FM5 arrives if not sooner. While I hope that time doesn't arrive for me, I have been playing FM4 since the first week it came out.
The FM series is the only game I have interest in, so if FM5 is part of the launch for a next gen Xbox, I will spring for it all if not day 1, soon after.
In the mean time I am hoping I can break 4:15 before Sunday!
Please note: If you don't have me on your friends list AND your not in the Euro Club please make sure you have someone on your friends list who has and are racing!
Other than that I will spam out invites from 8:00pm GMT on Sunday for the race start at 8:30 pm.
Hello,
@Church: New xbox? New money? And I bought this one only four months ago. Hmmmmm, Well, I will see, if I can make it.
JDANKERT
Projected to be out by Thanksgiving...(end of November).
But don't think Fm4 will just finish as alot of people won't be able to just buy a new Xbox (me included ;-)
So most events will carry on with FM4.
I will buy next gen day 1 IF fm5 is a launch title. If not, meh.
But Church, you're right. I'll be running fm4 for however long because of you guys. Awwwwwww! :)
Have to say I'm already getting really excited about it. Like a little kid on the 24th of December. So many months to go. :(
i will only buy the new console if FM5 is a launch/
Nice words JDan! I do hope you stick around too.

Hello,
RACEDAY!!!!!!!!!!!! Well only few hours left and so I haven't enough time for training. My time will be ..... No, I don't say that public.
JDANKERT
Word of advice: practice pit ENTRY! It's nasty with 2 chicanes, one with sticky sand and the second with walls.
On the Ring stay OFF the throtle when EXITING the pit, the "ice"tarmac will spit you in the wall.
I should be around for this, hard to resist the Aussie V8s.
I will open the room at 8:00pm GMT
Race will start dead on 8:30 pm GMT
Let's do this!! :-) :-) :-)
what are the PI # for the Holden and the Falcon
Is there any room? Sign up sheet looks full.
GENTLEMAN RACER
These always room snappy :-)
704ish I believe. Be sure you don't go full width on the tyres as stated in the op and you keep the rim diameter as stock.
Have done a room set up file for this so can host if there is overspill?
Unlikely to make this. Difinitely have noro virus. :(
You should be ok as this event takes place on dry land. Noro virus, rowing, water.
Think there's only one seat I'll be familiar with tonight Fitzy, and it's not the one in my rig :(
guess i missed this ................no invite to join last night!
DoH... I thought this was not running. My bad.
the first race of the series was a blast. Fitzy and i kept ourselves busy looking out of our rearview mirrors.
a little bit of strategy and some fine driving took place.
thanks guys.
