I'm not sure if i'm going to run this event, I've lost all interest in forza now (hasn't been in since the mx5 race) I've a feeling that forza is done for me, atleast until the next installment..
(who knows, maybe i'll get bored of BF3 and want to play forza)

The only reason i'm here still is just so I can race against you guys. This game does nothing for me anymore. After I started with Race 07, rFactor and now iRacing (Thats fooking awesome BTW) I only come on here to do official events.
I just hope people enjoy the BTCC as much as I did when I first started here!
Well i don't think I'm turning into a shooter - I'm a racer at heart. I think its a case of never really getting into FM3 from the start, i sustained the frustration for a long time. I had some of the best races I've had in the mx5 cup, and it didn't enjoy it as much as I should have. I did have fun, but it just wasn't there..
I'm hoping its a burn out, but i'm not sure it is - I don't feel much reward from driving the cars, or immersion.
I hear u boss I sort of feel the same it's just not fun anymore ill prob run the BTCC and see after that I really want to get in to pc racing but need to save for a good pc
Same here I'm afraid, since my enforced time out thanks to internet issues the PC took over as it seemed I had less online problems. Now my interwebs have been upgraded I still get lobby issues, my Elite feels like crap, and I am stuck in single screen. I still turn out for track night...when I can get in the room that is. But Forza has lost it's shine
Just to remind everyone, FM4 has been out a year and 3 months. In that time many folks have spent a great deal of time playing the game.
Many of those guys have played multiple iterations of Forza as well as other racers.
Not surprising that we take breaks or even move on.
There is every chance that in 10 months we'll be talking next Gen, and FM5.
I've had no issues that are deal breakers with FM4. Convenient, fun, great crowd and after those early issues, pretty stable. Oh, and great bangs per buck. I've been well served by FM4.
AND that is largely down to Tourni and the 2O4F crowd.
Cheers Mr T. You have created an awesome FM4 series of series in the last 12 months. Roll on whatever floats your boat.
Ditto on Poidsly's observations. I've had times where it started to feel like work and needed a break. I will miss you for purely selfish reasons Tourni...I was looking forward to a training session with a fellow gamepad/controller user...not to mention the tunes/race series you've produced...you've always been a leader within the clan. Thanks for all you've done and hope the race fever infects you again in the future.
I've only been active here for a few months, but I share Surf's sentiments, as well. You have helped me Tourni, whenever we've been in the same room, and I thank you for that. I hope you get the racing bug back sooner than later. Cheers to you!
I'm in for this series too, but may have a Soccer...err football game to go to with my son this coming Sunday.
Thanks Guys, I had a blast running all the events i've done. But, like i said, the wind has gone from the sails now and I just don't seem to want to race any more...

well, after I've read your postings, I felt sad, lonely and anxious.Tourni, I totally accept your unacceptable decision, but let me tell you one last thing: Especially you, but also Church, Knight, Gizzie, Fitzy, Parcells, Poidsly, Steviegers, ...... an all other "old" members from 2o4f are like medicine for me. I never believed in such a thing as virtual friendship, but ....... I changed my mind.
If I had a question, I got an answer. If I needed a info, someone sent or posted it. You all built those series in the last months, so that rookies like me, are competetive and therefore able to learn from the best. Because I am often on the road, I am still working on a living, I missed races. Because of my home, I couldn't use a mic. All of that was accepted and you let me race. And you learned to live with my bad english.
If I turn on my xbox, I can do what I love: Racing and meeting with you! I hope, that not all of you will go away to brutal-killer-games, like battlefield, black ops,...... For the first time ever I bought a shooter some weeks ago. FarCry. I played it some hours and lost my interest. That's not my thing to do in my little free time. If you like it, okay, but I cannot believe, that the racing virus just left your soul and body. And, Tourni, tank racing is not a gentleman thing to do.
Attention: I will shock you now. Does anybody still remember that good old word from:

It is long ago, but right and true. And it is more needed nowadays than ever before. Too many weapons, too many (hidden) wars and too much violence in most of our societies. I think it is time for a new slogan:
MAKE (racing) FRIENDS, NOT (shooting) VICTIMS!
Hopefully not all will move.to others racing sims. Even If I had some technical issues with FM, it is a top game for me. The price and the business model - you want more, than pay for it - is high and expensive, but in realition to all hours of racing, painting and having fun with online "friends", for me it is okay. It would be much more expensive to pay all thoses beers in a pub, which I took down during FM.
At February 19th I am exactly one year in racing with all of you. The first race was with a Toyota MRII at Infineon. The whole pack overtook me twice, I think. But after that I was infected with racing, with FM and you. For 2013 I had planned to buy a fanatec wheel and pedals, but honestly: if more of you will leave, that will not make serious sense anymore. I will see.
So I come to an end - boss, wife, son and dog are demanding attention -: I will miss each single one of you, because you are inspirational and motivational for me. My days (nights, because I am always one hour later than you) with you are days, which I ...... what's the word for it ..... Well, in other words. If I leave at Monday and know, that I will come back Friday, I am happy to see my family, but also I am happy for the upcoming hours of racing with you.
So guys, fellows, racers, ..... please stay and/or come back.

Its the fact that the game has become stale for me, perhaps an introduction of a new track early on or some thing would have helped? rather than release and piss about with cars)

I've been on a reduced season schedule lately...I know you all miss me, don't clog up the forums with all the praise and worship(!), but I still hop on and do some random silliness time to time. Ran some last night with some of the guys I usually don't see, Innocent, Trackass, even ran some with Cooter ( a first I think?) and had a good time, also a few of the new guys (Abyss, General), which I love to see new guys on the track.
But it's really more about who's on the track than what track/car at this point. Otherwise this game would've wound down looooong ago.
Poids feel free to redistribute my tune, I need to sort out my friend list (it's full) but havn't got the time right now.
