This was my first handicaped seriesand the one thing I noticed, wich ay be car or lower class specific, is that it became very easy to get on the throtle early as the handicaps whent up.
Case in point: The race at Nurb GP, my car performed so well there I went to vet (pro is my normal group) and still got a 3rd or 4th place while averaging times only 1 second of my unhandicaped practice times. Grip handicaps might work better in that respect but we won't know until we try that.
Side question what are we doing this Sunday? Race the Ring, shakedown for the BTCC or V8's?
Awesome point Zeratul. Parcells also noticed this at the couple tracks I did put practice laps in (some turns were easier). I think Cotter and/or somone else was also suggesting to use grip handicaps. Certainly no harm in trying.

Grip handicaps? Shows how little I have messed around with room setups.
Worth trying for sure, but I wonder whether the cars might feel a bit anaesthetised. Can we give this a go? HP handicaps are a real killer on long tracks.

I'm doing a btcc event at 10:00pm GMT.
We doing anything with the V8s before that?
