I'd forgotten what a really good 4th of July was like. Down in Texas, around 99% of the municipalities ban fireworks within their city limits, so we are typically left sponsored showings on a grand scale.
However, up at my parent's in Nebraska, their city still allows fireworks in its city limits, and boy, did people go all out this year.
Recession? Not that I could tell.
What I saw, was hundreds, if not thousands of dollars worth of fireworks being shot off in the air last night.
