I can't recall if I read the book, or just the articles that Evan Wright wrote in Rolling Stone.
I do recall the story to be about Wright's experiences while embedded with a Marine Recon Battalion (no, not Force Recon (big difference)), during the invasion of Iraq.
Unfortunately, some of the Marines that Wright road with were disciplined for their outspoken criticism of their superiors. Although that sucks, I've gotta say that they should have known better, since a reporter was riding with them.
