The long arm of the XBL law

Everyone here uses this forum for the same reason - Timmies. And for that reason I generally try to avoid Xbox.com's forums. But this thread got me interested again.

The thread links to the "Why did I get banned" category at the Xbox forums. And there are pages and pages of funny stuff there. It's 98% Timmies saying they did nothing wrong, and the Xbox community moderators posting their nonsensical slogans, etc. which clearly explains the reason for their ban.

Quick reflection

I registered for 2old2play in 2006 when I first bought my Xbox 360. I was somewhat active on the site for about 2 and a half years, during which time I made some great friends online and referred a number of people. I've even met and had dinner with a few other site members and referred some of my friends. Earlier this year, though, I just kind of stopped visiting. Had some real life issues going on which kept me off the 360 and PS3, plus my office blocking internet access didn't help at all.

Nostalgia can be bipolar

Lately I've been watching a number of movies from my youth/teen years. Many of them from my college years, when I worked in a movie theater (1997 to 2001) because there were many great movies in that time and also because I can still remember who I was with when I first saw them and I kind of enjoy the nostalgia. A couple nights ago I watched Saving Private Ryan, and I'll admit even shed a tear or two.

Attorney Generals meet with Craigslist

Attorney generals in several states are planning to meet with the administrators of craigslist.org, in an effort to remove the "Erotic services" category from the site.

Funky bookends to my 20's

In just over two months I will be 30 years old. As a number of my friends are hitting this milestone as well, we are all discussing where we are all in life, and what we need to accomplish before the big day. Me, I can't complain - since my 20th birthday I graduated college, found a career, got married, bought a house, and had a kid. There was a lot of other stuff in there as well but that's the bulk of it.

I also remember exactly what I was doing at midnight on my 20th birthday:

Quick review: Fanboys

Fanboys is probably more well-known for its development history than for the movie itself. That's not to say it's very well-known - in fact, it's kind of surprising that it slipped under the radar in mainstream cinema.
